Where are the men skirt stores?...
Where are the men skirt stores?...
First post in the forum!
I'm a rock singer/writer, and before coming to LA I remember seeing quite a lot of online stores, while back in Europe.
What's with the apparent boycott of men skirt sales? Not even Hot Topic has them any more!
Is someone here living in LA, and is more acquainted with the men fashion stores available in the county?
I found an European online store that carries the styles I'm looking for: http://www.the-black-angel.com/index1.html
I just want to find some here in LA. And almost 100 Euros per skirt seems overkill as well! I don't want to sound cheap, but come on...

Re: Where are the men skirt stores?...
The only places in America that seem to carry them, and it all depends on what Aria and Marcin get in, respectively, are Slash N Burn out of Portland, OR and Dark Pleasures EBay store out of St. Charles/Schaumburg, IL.
Aria's URL is findcoolclothes.com Right now, it looks like only kilts are in stock, though.
Marcin gets things in pretty regularly. I got my last goth skirt from her earlier this year. They're both super fast.
No idea why Hot Topic stopped carrying the Tripp skirts. It depresses me because I love them. I have five and am wearing one as I post.

Re: Where are the men skirt stores?...
Yeah it seems there really aren't any in the US. I've beeb buying from a bargin store near my college that carries a large variety of styles, all new for really cheap. I've got no problem with womens skirts so its not a problem for me. But yeah there really needs to be some stores around that carry skirts for men. It would be amazing if some major dept. store chain started carrying skirts for men because that would quite quickly make it acceptable in the mainstream over here. Though thats not likely to happen anytime soon so... My suggestion would be look for bargin or thrift stores that carry a large selection.
Re: Where are the men skirt stores?...
The majority of places that sell such garments seem to be online, regrettably!

Hi,
Check out the Style Guide at H&M. The have stores world wide. As part of the 2010 Style Guide in the mens section there is a kilt.
http://www.hm.com/us/#/sg10_men/ In Sweden it is currently sold out but they tell me it will be in the stores in spring 2010. Lets hope this can be start of regular brands actually introducing kilts / skirts for men.
