Re: Kids!

Since1982 - Did a little research for Viobaux Montana. Did not find a Viobaux but I did find a Wibaux in eastern Montana on Interstate 94 just 8 miles from the North Dakota border. Population at the 2000 census was 567. Here is the link for more information: http://cc.msnscache.com/cache.aspx?q=wiba...

Re: Is everyone alright?

I think I know - Since this is the winter of Shakespears discontent - March "Madness" came in like a lamb and roared out like a lion - Skirts & kilts have now taken a back seat to other unorganized activity. "Don't worry be happy" - the Alfred E Newman syndrome. Surely there is a plausible explanati...

Re: USA NATIONAL TARTAN DAY

Uncle Al:

Thanks for the link (history)!

It is going to be a bit dicey wearing the kilt in Minnesota on Monday.
We are expected to be on the tail end of a forecasted blizzard.
Guess I will have to strut my stuff in the M.O.A. (Mall of America).

Re: Another blog found - more skirts for men this year

Just Great!

BUT !

WHY the pants/leggings worn with (under) the skirts ?

WHEN are they ever going to set a fashion trend that looks like everyday wear
that would be worn conventionally ?

Re: Kiltliner - Cotton slip

flarob: If you can get the slip in silk for a reasonable price go for it. Check out the slips in nylon. To often people think of it as a hot non breathing material but that is not the case. Slips made of nylon are much lighter and with their ease of movement are much more cooler than one would expec...

Re: Kiltliner - Cotton slip

I have not tried or worn a slip under my kilts. But I do not think that cotton is the material of choice. Cotton would not have the slick slippery smoothness that silk; nylon; rayon or polyester does to facilitate ease of movement between two materials. That being noted - flarob you are on the right...

Re: What did *you* wear "out and about" today? part2

In honor of St. Patricks Day:

Irish National Tartan - kilt hose - INT flashes - black loafers - jacobite shirt and
topped with a green beret (non army issue).

Happy St. Pats day to all of you!

Anderson is not Irish but the maternal side (McCarthy-O'brien) most certainly is!

Re: Do Humans Still Join Discussion Forums

They do but not as much as they used to do. I agree with Richard and HockeySkirt. However the same-ole same-ole discussion does tend to be boring. Every now and then someone spices the discussion with an interesting thread but very quickly we are back to the norm. This forum is still perhaps the onl...

Re: Where did G, S, E & M go?

Why not K. I. S. S.? KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID? Postings in this forum or any other for that fact do not require a degree in English. Postings are not a thesis to acquire a Doctorate; Masters or Bachelors degree. My previous post was a satirical humorous poke in the ribs of petty rules about the use of ...

Re: me in kilt

Sapphire: You did well wearing your kilt pin. Although there is no rule book for the exact placement of the kilt pin. It is generally placed about 3 inches from the bottom hem and in from the fringed edge about 2 inches. It is only worn on the outer apron and never through both aprons. You could get...

Rich_L: Do you remember the basketball shorts worn pre 1970? They were the shortest short of any athletic sport except maybe a wrestling or swimming event. Now the sport for both sexes has the 20 gallon baggy boxer type short if you can call it that. For a better description I would call them pantal...

What! You mean to say that I can not use text messaging 101 here! Oh well I guess it is back to using the ole Smith & Balarney typewriter. Formal use of English is a lost art and I would rather learn Russian. This forum is not a formal court document or writ. Simply people conveying thought to a med...

Charlie: Would be interested in what cruise line you had this encounter. I have been in the travel business for almost 30 years and have seen a lot. I have been on three cruises. My first was on Princess from Vancouver to Long Beach. Two was on Carnival; Mexican Rivera and three also on Carnival; Al...

Pythos: crfriend makes an excellent point. You do not have to resign yourself to be an outcast in a corner. Make any and all use of the 'Public Library'. It is your tax paying $$$s that are being used to operate these places. You can still keep in touch until the time changes for a more favorable si...
