I sometimes think I was born on another planet. I seem to have passed through life from birth to middle age without any of this teen angst bad behaviour stuff. When I was a teenager I thought most other teenagers were mental, and that hasn't changed. In fact a newspaper report months ago stated sci...

Oh, right...coloured socks as in actual coloured socks then, heh. Sorry, I didnt know the US was this conservative. I fail to understand how wearing coloured socks can be an issue, unless you're talking having one red sock and one green. Even so its probably more of a fashion-dont than anything els...

I was joking at work - a small technical college - about several of us male instructors showing up for work in kilts. (The talk was to implement some kind of dress code that was more formal.) And female employees thought that that would be, " Horrible to see men's legs ." PatJ heh, they m...

I was thinkin of the Boston meaning of wicked...as in wicked haahd, Haavahd Yaahd and all that mess :D
heh, if you could hear me speak, I could easily pass for a Bostonian until I ask where the soda is :D imagine that, born in Georgia, raised in Wisconsin and I more or less sound like I'm from Boston

I'll tell ya why I don't wear em as often as I'd like to: 1) I only have one skirt, and it's too big even for me I do think I'd be better off having more, and wearing em more often, though :) 1) Folks say I'm pretty unusual to begin with :D 2) It's a real good idea in this summer heat, that's for sure

Lar: personally, not really. The 80s were one big blur to me, as I was only born in '83. About the only things I really remember were Michael Jackson videos, those slip-on shoes that came back in style recently, and a couple painter-style caps I wore for some reason, though the latter was more early...

How often do women go out and try to "pass" as men? The essense of cross-dressing is trying to pass, not what you wear. not too many, it just seems that way sometimes :) I recall about 3-4 years ago one of my female cousins wore a tie frequently, as she likes rock music and Avril Lavigne ...

I've made myself two, though both looked more sloppy than them joes. The first skirt was a converted pair of jeans, and the second skirt was made from denim I bought at Walmart. I've worn both skirts around the house, and wore the second one out several months ago, though I made a couple mistakes: f...

OK Guys, The football fans win (whether UK or US does not matter). My point was not to knock football but to illustrate how breaking something down into a finite set of understandable rules, when the real world is much more complex, is exemplified by games like football. I guess I was getting too a...

I'll have to say that in reading the original article I'm actually rather surprised on how well everybody in question is handling the situation -- quite unlike, I suspect, what'd happen on these shores. I figure that'd be accurate, that here, they'd make a mountain out of a molehill. Like rules in ...

can be interesting to watch, but could be compressed in time by about 75% if they didn't stop play every 10 seconds or so I wasn't gonna veer anymore off topic, but I always wanna laugh when yall Europeans focus on the stop-start nature of football. on the downside, the nature of the game happens t...

funny thing about it...I like to tell people I know that football (the US version) is deceptively simple. complicated, I won't lie, to a degree it is (I used to play in high school, hence my screen name-we were the Eagles and I wore #95). then again, I always did like a good chess match. and then a ...

Schools focus too much on "feminine" qualities such as organisation and attentiveness, he will tell an NASUWT union conference in London. heh...that's the first time I've heard being organized and attentive as feminine qualities-heck, I sorta recall needing those qualities in football. I ...
