Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

Going to Scotland and seeing MIS on every corner is not a thing. I think that it shows that even in a place where men can wear skirts without loosing their man card, they still don't. I have thought long and hard about this one Mouse. Who I am is not for others to decide. That's my judgement on me....

Re: Intersex Blume

I had no idea. I thought I did but I didn't. Blume is a wonderful girl who just happens to be a biological male. It really makes you think.

Re: Don't Change

I think the deep solitude thing comes from within. We are all alone "in here" (tapping my head). I joined some clubs when was I was down: Shooting clays and judo. I also volunteered at scouts. I know someone else who trained to be a Samaritan.

Re: That rare male compliment

Did you mention that you wear skirts too? I doubt he'd have stopped for a chat about it, a petrol pump isn't really the place, but it would have been a moment of solidarity for you both. You are right, I could/should have but I didn't. He looked so alarmed by me approaching him, so I kept it short....

Re: History is full of Men in Skirts

Usual history lesson but enough in there I didn't know to make it interesting. Snappydragon is a real advocate for MIS and that's a good thing. I finally got round to watching this. I like anything where a female is advocating for men to wear skirts. I wonder, whether she has met many modern MIS? I...

Re: Don't Change

It is a big assumption that the right people are available for some members. Just because they're not in your circle yet doesn't mean the right people don't exist. I'd rather be alone than hide me just to have company. The internet and social media hasn't helped Modoc. People are more reliant on th...

Re: That rare male compliment

I filled my bike up in Costco today so in trousers. In the next pump to me was a man in a long denim skirt. What to do? I took my helmet off and thought I can't just stare and walk off. So I went and said hello. I asked him if he was wearing a skirt, he said "er yes". I said it's very nice...

Re: Mississipi School Discriminate Transgender Girl

I hope that my wearing a wider range of clothing as a cisgender man will encourage boys to think that they can express themselves any way they want to without having to declare themselves "trans".. I see this as one of my roles in life to show that you do not need to follow a medical rout...

Re: Mississipi School Discriminate Transgender Girl

One thing I hold publicly is that "sex" is absolute, and can easily be scientifically measured and determined. "Gender" seems more in line with philosophy, and thus puts it more in the neighborhood of religion. Thus I don't argue with people about my own gender identity for much...

Re: Mississipi School Discriminate Transgender Girl

Indeed, note that ALL of the trans bans in sports ONLY apply to transgender women/girls that play on female sports. The laws are specifically worded this way. If you are a biological female you are encouraged to play on either side. In fact, not long ago I read an upbeat news article about a teenag...

Re: Mississipi School Discriminate Transgender Girl

The problem seems to lie not in identifying a girl or a boy, but in insisting that their biological sex absolutely requires all sorts of other irrelevant things, such as wearing particular styles of clothing, or cutting their hair a certain way, or playing certain sports and not others. If people w...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

Great stuff MB especially with you mum.
Do you have a picture of you in the black dress?

I'm slowly getting around to the idea of some wider tops options. I bought a ladies shirt and nobody even noticed it wasn't a man's. I think I going to do some further exploration. I havent found dress yet.

Re: Insurance... the silent killer of freedom

There are options.
A well known programme maker here in England - Louis Theroux did a programme on a New York taxi driver who worked two months in New York, the rest of the year he lived in Thailand in a village. That village was proper poor without him.

You just need to think outside of the box.
