Re: Skirts in foreign lands

I would be very careful if you visit fundamentalist Muslim countries. In many of these countries it ia against the law to crossdress and you can be jailed and possibly flogged. Be very careful out there. I've just survived a skirted week in a fundamentalist religious place - Tennessee - without any...

Re: Mini T-shirt Dress

I very seldom see a dress which I could imagine to wear. But this one, I should like wearing, included above mentioned accessorisk. Yeah it is a very nice dress but unfortunately my local Matalan store doesn’t sell it even though it’s on the Matalan online store. I’m tempted to get it online. I’ve ...

Re: Skirts in foreign lands

I'm going to be doing a bit of traveling - there hasn't been a big discussion of where MIS are accepted. Honestly, based on the variety of countries folks post from, and stuff I see on Reddit, the answer is "everywhere". So I'll start - America. Plenty of folk from here post about accepta...

229% .... wow; let's see 3 x 2.29 -- round up a tad -- 7 skirts! Amazing; I think I'll look for a venture capitalist, we've got something going here.

Re: Getting photographed in public

A quick internet search brough this up (expertphotography.com) "Photography Laws UK: Your Rights To the OP, I'm afraid you'll have to just accept this. Photography is generally legal. Which is another reason I don't understand the headless shots from members that do indeed wear their skirts in...

Re: Overly Flamboyant Outfits Detrimental to Mainstreaming MIS?

Meetings are good for the sanity of MIS and perhaps family unity. But does not further the cause. I feel it's not enough for us to individually go forth skirted on our own. One man on his own can do nothing it takes a combined effort. I don't accept we are too small and insignificant achieve anythi...

Re: Difficulties with partners

This post will be about skirts and difficulties with partners. But first.... *** I may break away from this to temporarily wear a skirt some evening if given the opportunity, and I'm completely alone*** As of late and mentioned in another thread some weeks back. I mentally can't handle the stresses...

Re: denim skirts

For your question about trousers wearing by heat time. In case of sunburn or suspicion of potential sunburn, I quickly go back to clothes that covers the more skin I can. Even if it means that I'm going to suffocate with that heat. Okay, this may explain a tiny fraction of them... but already a few...

Re: Getting photographed in public

Unfortunately I would say that if you move in public spaces(be it the city or your street) there is always a risk that you might get caught on someone's photos. I wish everyone had the decency to ask for permission, but that is not the world we live in. Especially considering almost everyone is now...

Re: US Senate dress code

At funerals people are expected to wear black. I have a black dress for such an occasion. John Well that is one custom around here that seems to be changing. Generally muted tones but rarely all black attire. I don't imagine garish colours would be appropriate unless the deceased had requested such...

Re: Overly Flamboyant Outfits Detrimental to Mainstreaming MIS?

Confidence. You need to be confident in whatever you wear. Smile, be friendly without over doing it. It has to be genuine. If you are not confident people think you are up to no good. The crazier the outfit, the more confidence is required to pull it off. Some here have it to the point they can pul...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

I am not insulted or slandered unless someone assumes that I am something that I consider socially undesirable or inferior. Since I would not consider it demeaning to be thought gay, just incorrect, I would not be insulted, even if the person in question was trying to insult me. You may be younger ...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

Isn't that the solution I proposed? Every straight guy who wants to wear a skirt just needs to wear a skirt, regardless of what others think. And when someone asks their orientation/pronouns, they say unapologetically, "I'm just a straight guy who likes skirts." It is precisely, but how m...

Imagine the problem if car tyre sizes varied so much, let alone our personal spare tyres.
Great analogy, thanks for the smile!
