Re: Welcome from Bristol UK

Hello and welcome, Robin! You're one of the lucky few, having a supportive wife (as am I) so make the most of it. Get your skirt on and you'll find it gets easier each time. From my statistically insignificant data set (we spent a day there about 4 years ago), the people of Bristol don't care what y...

Re: Out of town in a skirt

Well done, Mr F, the first time doing anything like that isn't easy. I'm glad that you got some positive reactions from your group, it's a big boost when people let you know they're on your side.

Next, conquer Alyth and Carnoustie!

Re: Skirts you like but scared to wear in public

I’m really proud of myself. I managed to wear my brown snake print skirt again today. I was really nervous but I just did it and walked confidently with a smile on my face .... This has given me confidence to wear my red midi skirt with black hem tomorrow at sewing group. :) Well, Dr F, did you wea...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

Have B&Q changed their staff uniforms? I was in my local branch this evening, busy comparing various spare parts for taps with the worn-out one from my kitchen which I had brought with me. As usual, I was struggling to work out which, if any, was the right one. I hate plumbing, because what ough...

Re: Hi every one

Hello and welcome Pauly! Feel free to tell us more about yourself, your skirts and how you get on wearing them out and about. Or ask for advice, plenty of guys here give you the benefit of their experience. I've been wearing skirts publically in the UK for nearly 15 years, without incident. Complime...

Re: Do People Notice?

I strongly doubt that people don't notice. It's obvious! Unless you're partly hidden or you choose very carefully and stand side-on to your onlooker, the skirty shape will be noticed in a split second. You might hope that your shorts-length skirt in a drab "masculine" blue brown or grey ca...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

And one I forgot to mention - how could I? In IKEA, a group of two woman and a man, all wearing calf-length skirts. One was yellow, somewhat overshadowing the dark shades on the man and the other woman. I did wonder if there was any reason for the similar styles of skirt, though the three outfits we...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

Saw a whole load of men in skirts or dresses at a music festival a few weeks ago: the Garden Party at Kelburn in Ayrshire. Also a few people in dinosaur costumes, it was that sort of event. Then at Glasgow Pride last weekend there were a fair few. A good number of kilts (they don't really count in S...

Re: Can men now get their legs out in the office?

In my office a few men turn up in shorts on hot days, and nobody seems to mind. There's also one man who occasionally turns up in a skirt and bare legs!

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

A couple of weeks ago, in Glasgow. As I was heading out of Morrisons supermarket in Partick, a young man entered. He was dressed head to toe in black, including an ankle-length skirt. I was all in black too, except for a bright purple miniskirt. :D
