Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

Did the Pirrama Parkrun in Sydney in my usual black Tartanista casual kilt with Parkrun 100 t-shirt. Hope to do Launceston this coming Saturday and one in Perth the following week.

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

Seen Friday afternoon near Kent House station: young Goth? couple, she in long black floaty dress, he in short (knee length) black dress with full skirt and longer mesh underskirt, with either corset style waist or cincher (not sure which). Both looked quite relaxed and happy in themselves and with ...

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

Seen yesterday around 5pm in Bromley High Street, tall young man in charcoal grey sweater and long flowing skirt, black with swirly white pattern.

Tempted to point him out to Mrs GB, but she wouldn’t have been able to see him, and it would have drawn unnecessary attention in a crowded street.

Re: Sewing Bee

Hi Mouse. I had wanted to give a longer, considered response but live has been a bit full on lately. The main issue is that it’s another reason for her to feel odd. There’s lots behind that statement that I won’t go into in public and probably needs a on to one conversation. There’s also loads of ot...

Re: Sewing Bee

I’m frustrated with myself that I didn’t make comment about Kit’s skirt at the time. Not wanting to disturb our enjoyment of the programme I suppose. We did fall into conversation whilst shopping and MOH mentioned Esme’s outfits. I said I wouldn’t wear them and she joked they would be too short. Bef...

Re: Sewing Bee

There have been a couple of skirted made-to-measures on male models before, but usually with a comment I out gender or sexual orientation. For example, in one final a gay contestant made a ball gown for his gay friend and made a point of it. In this instance, Kit (the sewer) is almost certainly gay ...

Re: Glam Inclusive Article 2024

And the irony that the “Women’s leather jacket” was in fact a biker jacket, originally “men only” seems to be lost on the writer!

Re: Breakfast this Morning as a Girl LOL

Personally, I think it should make a difference if one is thinking of marriage Personally, I think that sex and gender combinations should play no part in limiting the ability for two people who happen to love each other in getting married. I feel particularly sorry for those who have a religious a...

Re: Men have "more individualism" but dress up to conform more?

On the subject of female liberty vs male conformity: I heard a bit of Woman’s Hour today on the topic of “boy mums”. One listener said that she had no problem with encourage her firstborn, a girl, to express herself and do as she pleased, including traditional boy activities, but could not do the re...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

I passed through Dundee by car on Saturday and back again on Sunday, in order to take part in the Aberdeen KiltWalk. Parked at Banchory then caught the bus to Aberdeen, walked up Anderson Drive it the Premier Inn. Next day I got a lift to Tesco and we walked to Duthie Park, then 18 miles along the D...

Back to the future :D

If forgotten about that series. Seems we’ll all be wearing dresses but women will be distinguishable by their longer hair.

She has seen me in kilts plenty of times before. However, she made no comment at the word “skirt”, so you may be right.

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

Today we were helping to clear the garage at my parents prior to some repairs being carried out. I was wearing my plain black Tartanista value kilt with white Next t-shirt, grey M&S hoodie and black V-gan boots. Whilst with my sister putting some items in the street for folks to collect, two you...
