Re: Skirts and health?

Some years ago there was an article in I believe the Scottish Guardian or so. It revered to research executed by a Dutch doctor with the Erasmus Universiteit who had done research on the effects of skirt wearing, or as it was for Scotland kilt wearing, and indicated that such would be much healthie...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

This past week, I had to journey south to Hertfordshire for a 24 hour conference. I set off early Monday morning, in the usual black casual kilt and long socks. Breakfast at the Purdey Lodge on the A1 (I can recommend it!), where a quick change into black 200 denier tights took place as it was a bit...

Re: UnionKilts

Then again, maybe not! all my sizes gone, including the Hill Walking kilt, which I thought about ordering a while back but never got around to it!

Ah well, I hope you are able to enjoy retirement despite health problems.

Re: UnionKilts

Thanks Richard. I ordered a kilt today, but in view of the possible demise, I'll probably go back and order some other stuff in the next few days. I came today as a first time customer to order a kilt, based on positive reviews from members here, so let us hope you find a buyer to help this excellen...

Re: One recurring theme...

My wife doesn't like me wearing skirts, and after a particularly painful conversation, I got rid of them. I now regret that decision, because it's much harder to raise the topic when the object is not present. However, I've been wearing a plain black casual kilt fairly regularly for some time (thoug...

Union Kilts up for sale

Last night I was checking out utility kilts, with a view to spending some money from Christmas and Birthday. I noted that at Union Kilts there are some big reductions. This morning I went back to the site and elected to buy a charcoal grey denim number at £12.50 (really!) https://unionkilts.com/prod...

Re: Old article about Oxford's dress code change

Despite all of this I'm going to hell because of the clothes I wear. To that I say, screw heaven anyway, the last thing I want to do is spend eternity with a bunch of self righteous, hypocritical religious people. Interestingly Jesus (who of course wore a dress) seemed to imply that the "self right...

Re: Out and About -- In the World at Large

Following a wee operation, for comfort I have been wearing my black balls kilt a lot, most recently to the midnight service at a local church. Hoping to normalise kilt wearing and add to the wardrobe other styles.

Wishing everyone here A Happy Christmas, however you celebrate.

Re: Man in a dress on 'First Dates' television show

I saw one episode of this programme and was impressed. They seemed genuinely to try to match people without forcing them to come together. The setting was a luxury tropical hotel and the guests' arrivals were staggared. Two couples were featured : one in their 70s and one in their twenties. The olde...

Colourful! Don't think I'd particularly like wearing it (or going round bare-chested in the UK where we have aircon set to "max" for 9 months of the year) but I'd be up for a cheerleaders uniform with those wonderful skirts they wear!
Me too! (But it wouldn't go down well at home)

Re: Software Upgrade

Thanks Carl for your great work. The colour scheme doesn't bother me too much, and I really like the new mobile format. Most of the time I read on my phone, but now I can respond sensibly. (Or perhaps I should say, I now have no excuse for nonsensical responses  )

Both outfits look fine to me, as does the log fire! (Electric job with WHITE LED behind the coals. Where's the logic in that?)

I think the idea would have been better presented in leather rather than denim.
I second that! :D
