Re: Questions about english language
Well, it IS the off-topic section... ;-) Then may I politely ask for the topic to be changed from Questions About The English Language to 'arguments about USA politics', upon which I have no great interest? R'Amen to that! ...or open another thread for your debate about US politics to be ignored by...

Very good. But Fred I don't get the "Millenial Anti Theft Device" on the tyre cover of the car. I have a well-developed sense of humour but someone will have to explain that one to me as it's just passed me by. Manual transmission. Has reportedly been too complicated for some car thieves on the wes...

It is perfect.
Easy to dress up; just don a kilt over it and you are city-shape.

Re: Brexit
One point of view: “I can’t help feeling that it would be an awful shame if what we’ve gone to so much trouble to do, to collect the European big nations together, to break it all up now would be a crying shame,” said Mr Chardin, 94, from Cambridge, in a BBC interview at the 75th anniversary commemo...

As for the Remainders, suppose that they get their way and we vote again to stay, what would the reaction be of the other countries? --- The reaction: Crazy Brits, but luckily they got their minds back before too late. ....But I’m betting Vladimir Putin understands it pretty well. That is exactly how I, as a fellow European, understand this. Can't now find the source, but I remember seeing some (probably doubtful) info of Russian monetary back-up to brexiters in UK. But being that true or not, Brexit is another w...

If every member would think up an interesting topic there would be more responses and would stimulate activity. I like finding interesting threads. Well, what's the point? Even if someone writes an interesting topic, the conversation turns to something totally different after some half a dozen post...

Re: Gender neutral uniforms
Maybe it is my poor understanding of English but I do not see any gender neutrality in that article. It is part of a drive, funded by the government, for schools to be more open to children who are questioning their gender identity. Clothes are to represent ones gender, not sartorial choice.
