Re: Trump was shot!

If you really want to pray (whatever good that does), pray for the family of the person killed. Pray for the two other attendees as well, who were injured in this atrocity. Yes, that is the more immediate concern. But a big concern is what is happening to our country--I'll avoid politics and not ex...

Re: Women’s leggings

I have tried leggings and tights as a means of continuing to wear mini skirts through winter. My problem is that the waist band of these are higher than the waist level of my skirts which becomes a problem when needing a pee, something that can become quite frequent with the combination of age and ...

Sew or just use a belt?

I like this dress but it is too long, dragging on the floor. (Well, maybe it's not too long; I'm just too short.) DSCN4354cs.jpg I can put a belt on and hang it over the belt like this. I'm not sure if it looks right or not. DSCN4353cs.jpg What do folks think? I see this new poll feature, so I wante...

I don't want to be too graphic, but sometimes sexual relief also relieves odd thoughts.

Re: Loose skirt around the waist

I've fixed several of those by threading elastic through the waistband. Quite simple even for someone with my very limited sewing skills.

Re: Skirts are not for attention seeking

Most of the time I'd rather not get attention for what I'm wearing. So I don't go clothes-free in general public areas and rarely wear dresses. For that reason, most of my skirts are fairly bland, but I also like things that look good to me, so some of my skirts are brighter or have other interestin...

Re: Are we engaging in fashion freedom?

Do women have absolute fashion freedom? There will always be critics but yes they do. No, women do not have absolute fashion freedom many places. In this hot weather, I'm shirtless much of the time. My wife reasonably feels she needs to be more careful. The Illinois Constitution Bill of Rights says...

That has not been my experience at all. Sure, someone somewhere might have thought that, but I have never had reason to suspect that of anyone.

Re: Girls vs Boys Soccor

Men are also likely to get deeper into trouble than women because there are no support systems for them. They are left on their own and to their own devices. In a way. There are support systems. Here, in rural Illinois, I have three good options: my church, the local hospital, and an independent me...

Re: Hello from Wisconsin

Welcome, Belember. I agree--skirts are much more comfortable in the heat. A couple guys I work with have been following my example and are now wearing skirts sometimes.

In the US, most suicides are by men. Most suicide attempts are by women. Men choose more effective methods.

During the days of the Jesus People movement, I wore a homemade wooden cross on a leather shoestring as a necklace. Not lately.

Re: Sightings "in the wild"

I just watched a man make the case against pronouns along similar grounds. His argument is that They and Them are plural terms that have nothing to do with the gender of the induvial involved. Using They/Them to refer to a single induvial would be grammatically incorrect and he refuses to use the E...

Re: That rare male compliment

At a church camp picnic yesterday a young man I sometimes work with told me "nice overalls." I was wearing a corduroy jumper that I had picked up at a garage sale on Saturday for $1.00. (brand: Ellison, size M, US usage of "jumper").
