skirt designed for men
I just got a new one legged pants (skirt) designed for men. It is made by tripp clothing company and sold at hot topics. It is a bit on the gothic side, black with chains, but the chains can be removed and it looks more like a very long black cargo skirt. It is really fun with zippers to adjust the amount of room around the bottom of the skirt ( sorry I mean one legged pants). It has lots of deep pockets and such. I have been wearing it all day and it is really nice. Anyway if you type in one legged pants in your URL it should pull it up, worth a look.

Sounds good. I've seen pics of these on the net and I don't think anyone would give you any grief for wearing one of these as they are quite long and look almost like trousers from a distance. My personal preference is for knee length which, even if its not a kilt, seems to be publicly accepted as a kilt. The only non kilts which I wear are the box pleat camo and the denim cargo skirt from Midas Clothing.com, both of which are designed for men. I have been able to find a reasonable variety of kilts and skirts without the need to buy any which were designed for women.

Just don't wear them in muddy areas, I found that out the hard way this weekend. Came back in and my hem was all muddy on the inside. I bought one a month ago and have been wearing it out and really not panicking all that much in it (must be a higher level of confidence or semantic based logic given its title). It's almost ground length and looks great with combat boots. Feels wonderful, too. Ordered another one and it's STILL not left the warehouse in TN yet. Rather miffed at that.
So far, pretty positive response and from people I didn't expect it from either. One of the secretaries is like, "Oh, I used to have one of those, it looks great on you." even playing with the zipper in the rear to adjust the width it spreads (not entirely unenjoyable as she is quite attractive, albeit married and a mom) and the other one, who I SO did not think would dig it given her religious leanings, thought I should wear it in sometime and maybe even teach my students while wearing it. Maybe the A/P students, but I doubt the regular ones. Lots of Good Ol' Boys in there.
One more tip, if it's cold, the fabric looks deceptively thick. It isn't. I had black tights on underneath mine and still froze my bum.
