The reduced carbon footprint of skirts

Post by Charlie »

BBC Radio Gloucester has an article where one of its reporters went around in a skirt for the day. It's at

http://www.bbc.co.uk/gloucestershire/co ... ture.shtml

There is a space for comments. As you'd expect, there are some from 'the grunts', but the vast majority are positive. One that particularly caught my eye is:

"I'm surprised that global alwarmists haven't cottoned on the the reduced carbon footprint of skirts (less material/manufacturing/cleaning) so that they could become commonplace by default."

So guys, next time you're asked why you are wearing a skirt, you can say it's a small contribution against global warming :D :D

Not to mention possibly setting the office AC a degree or two warmer since skirted workers would be cooler and more comfortable. Of course we'd have to ban neckties as well.

Have to agree with both these comments, both of which I think are very relevant. There is nothing worse in the summer than trying to work in an office with women, who are wearing lightweight clothing and no collars/ties, and are therefore far cooler than the men.

In my mind, true sex equality has yet to arrive.

I'm with ya on that no ties thingy squach... Personally, the last tie I wore in my life was a clip on for my high school graduation picture. My parents wanted me to be a lawyer, but I told them no 'cause lawyers have to wear ties...heheehehe
I had to remove this signature as it was being used on Twitter. This is my OPINION, you NEEDN'T AGREE.
