Just counting the Ladies here

Post by WSmac »

I'm talking GG's or genetic girls, just to be clear about that. :D

It seems like we have had or have more than two female members here, but the only two names that pop out right now are the two active ladies here:

Skirtchaser
and
Emerald Witch

If I'm missing anyone else, I do apologize.

So, are there any other active-posting women here?

Are there any women who have joined but are 'lurking'? Now is a great time to come out and introduce yourselves!

In another thread Carl outed his wife as a lurker. Hello Mrs. CRFriend! :D

Actually, it gets better (I think ;) ). I've been informed that she's signed up for a username, but is still waiting for it to be activated.

Let her in Bob, I doubt she's a spammer.

Siri from NYC used to post on this board quite often (in the days of Tom's Cafe). She was there at the '1 million skirted men' event a few years ago. I see that she's still on the membership list, but hasn't posted for a long time. Are you still around Siri?

Siri retired from posting and reading as she mentioned in this post http://www.skirtcafe.org/forums/viewtop ... highlight= from January 2007. I miss her and wish I had known her longer.

Thanks for the info, QM. I must have overlooked Siri's last post.
I'm sorry she's gone too. :(

Honestly, I think a lot more ladies would love to come and enjoy the company of so many sexy, masculine men in kilts and skirts... but the mixed reaction I've recieved makes me loathe to roll out the welcome rug to them.

I'm waiting to see how well things really go down before telling all my friends about this place. I need to know whether you men can really handle the idea of a flood of women coming and drooling all over you, or whether you just would run screaming, with your SKIRTS BETWEEN YOUR LEGS!

(that was evil of me, I know, but I couldn't help it...)

Personally, I don't think I'd mind it. I used to be a member of the old Men In Skirts and their Female Admirers forum on MSN... I'm also one of the few who wears a kilt most of the time here in the Seattle area, and sometimes does wear regular skirts when the weather's a bit warmer than kilt weather.

Ahhh, bless you, John.

You're one who knows how to make a lass feel welcome, I'm sure.

Mixed reaction? You're like a breath of fresh air! I only wish there were more ladies who view kilt/skirt wearing by men positively (especially my wife who cannot). Once the ladies begin to back us, we'll achieve universal acceptability, after all we know who is boss!

Thta's a bit of an indictment, that people here gave you a mixed reaction. A lot of people here do sound browned off sometimes but I would hope you don't take it personally.

Every one of the guys here, I'm pretty certain, is very interested in supportive women. But maybe quite a few have become so over defensive and over sensitive that they can't see everything you're saying in a positive light. There was one guy who doesn't seem to post any more but the least, tiniest, most insignificant comment could cause him to erupt.

Well, I know there are loads of women interested in MIS and the ones who aren't are often over-defensive themselves. Hope you do invite some of your friends -- I'm sure there will be enough interesting situations and enough people here to make them feel welcome.

I'm sure there are plenty of women out there who find kilts and skirts on men attractive - or at least interesting - and so maybe would enjoy contributing to this forum.

I had a nice encounter today - which made up for a nasty one earlier. The nasty one was two young guys passing in a car and shouting out "scum . . . scum" to me as they drove past. Upset me a bit.

But later - in the supermarket - first of all an elderly man wearing shorts broke into a beaming smile when he saw that I had a skirt on and then (this is the point of my post . . . sorry!) a lady came up to me and asked me the time. Then when I had told her she said "That's a nice skirt - where did you get it" - and so we had a little chat for a few minutes. She was very positive about men wearing skirts - and I was pleased that she had the courage to come up and ask me about it. I am sure there are plenty of other women around like her.
It's never too late to have a happy childhood . . .

Emerald... I have very much appreciated your participation here. It really has been a breath of fresh air.

Please remember that we ARE a bunch of guys, and we may not always be so diplomatic with everything. If people don't like an idea, they will say so. But there IS a requirement here that we are respectful to each other, and for the most part that works.

So please don't confuse mixed reactions to your IDEAS with mixed reactions to YOU. I am very much looking forward to you bringing your lady friends here, I think it will open up a great new dimension. And just as soon as I have a free evening, I plan on making a new section to roll out the welcome mat for them! I just need to get that free evening...
