Cord pinafore mini dress

Discussion of fashion elements and looks that are traditionally considered somewhat "femme" but are presented in a masculine context. This is NOT about transvestism or crossdressing.

Cord pinafore mini dress

Post by DrFishnets »

I bought myself what I thought was a burgundy dungaree mini dress from my local charity shop for £6. However, when I googled the dress it’s actually a pinafore dress in chocolate brown. It fits me though it’s quite short and when I sit down everything thing is on display so I’ll wear thick tights or leggings when wearing it or cycling shorts with sheer or fishnet tights.

Those garments have a few names, skirtall being another and I think that cord one looks good. I have a few as it is an option of keeping a skirt up without much restriction at the waist. Unlike skirts the hem will lift when bending and I find that the straps sometimes slip off a shoulder.
My name is Anthony, please accept me for the person that I am.

That looks comfortable if a bit short for me! Vibrant warm coloured opaque tights would go well with that.

Do a google search for "Skirtalls" and see what you get.
A multiple list of sources for Skirtalls from infants to adults.
Skinny to plus sizes. Some are mid-calf length. All types of material.

I may search Ebay again for Skirtalls. They usually have a wide and varied selection :D

EDIT - I just searched Ebay(U.S.version) for Skirtalls and had 667 results.
There is hope out there :D
