Showing off

Mouse demonstrating the centre pole hang...

So I have this habit of getting up from my seat and moving to one of the centre poles in the carriage, a few minutes before my stop. There is a part of me that wants everybody in the carriage to see a confident man standing there in a great skirt. The more I like my outfit, the more I want to show it off. This is something that has only begun, since I have been wearing skirts.

Not sure what this says about Me? But I do know that I am very happy being me!

Showing off or just super confident, very healthy for you and very healthy for onlookers to witness something different. Not much of an audience on this trip though or did the sunglasses cause everyone to vacate the carriage :)

That is a superbly styled outfit Mouse and an excellent pose from the centre pole. Whats more amazing is the tube train is empty.
Keep up the good work showing everyone it is possible to wear what you want with a little bit of confidence.

OK, this shot...

... was taken in Cockfosters Station which is the start/end of the Piccadilly line. I was on my way to have lunch with my daughter near London Bridge, so I needed to change to the Northern line at Kings Cross. The best carriage to be in for the fastest change between lines is the front one, since the exit from the platform to the Northern line is right at the front of the train. Hence, I had just walked the length of the train to the front where I found this empty carriage. Most normal people just get on the first carriage they come to with empty seats and at this terminus station, the train is approached from the rear. Sorry for going a bit nerdy on fast tube line changes, but it is a great system with many quirks and I have loved it since I first used it as a small boy.

Finding a photo opportunity, I placed my phone on a small ledge on the back of the driver's door and then took a number of pictures with me in different positions. After taking this one for one of my stories...

I realised that I could grab a pole shot as well. My method of placing my phone and then walking away from it for the shot, obviously has the risk of some toe rag running off with it.

The London Tube is a great background for my skirting pictures, since it is iconic and places you in the city of London, not hiding, out in public and proud...
Image
...it also gives you something to do while waiting for the train...
Image
....try to get the station name in the back ground....
Image
...bonus points for getting your user name in the advert...
Image
....and if you can get a moving train in the back ground...
Image
...you get extra points in the game, for moving train and station name....
Image
...with a back light in your hair, station name, moving train...
Image
...This picture is on my instagram and steadily getting likes.

After the last London meet up, it was fun to take the tube with others viewtopic.php?p=270074#p270074 Maybe at the next meet up we could take more pictures of each other in more crowded places. I should point out that there are some members who come to the meet ups, that do not want their picture taken and that is totally fine and consent respected. It is also the reason I have given you a link to the original post and not just re-used the picture in another thread.

Sorry this post started out as a simple explanation of the empty carriage and ended up as me showing off my tube pictures...

Nice outfits Mouse. What are the brown and black canvas-looking shoes you're wearing there?
