What's wrong here?!

Post by crfriend »

... He's wearing pants.

Such was a comment I received from one of my female acquaintances this evening when she saw me and commented to her friends.

I've been in head-to-toe black male drab for a week. "I'm in mourning", was my answer -- and everybody got it right off the bat.

I did mention that if it's warm enough, I might "get out my glad rags over the weekend", which brought smiles.

'Tis good to be known.

I note some people are shaving their heads for a similar reason...

Forbidden fruit.... a topic that we dare not speak it aloud.

I must confess, the sadness is like watching a close friend pass. Alas, I must remind myself that in my own life, it would seem I have always been my own worst enemy, and thus have resolved to go down laughing.

I'm just an old sinner. I have no right to even be alive. I'll live my life as best as I can, and when and if they come for me, may they aim for the head and aim well.

My mother and I had a disturbing conversation last week when it was revealed that circumstances may manifest where I may find it very difficult if not outright impossible for me to ever see what little family I have left ever again.

Carl, this website is a vast encyclopedia and journal for men in skirts and other gender nonconforming people. I think you should consider downloading several copies of the entire database on whatever media will hold it, and distribute it to members in good standing around the world for safe keeping. HARD COPIES, nothing cloud based.

*raises glass*, Gentlemen, may the odds be in our favor, stay safe, stay educated, stay off the internet.

This is Andrea Palumbo, Good night, and Good Bye.

Note that I didn't need to state a reason.

Indeed, Moon, you are a fluke of the universe. You have no right to be here. And, yes, the universe is laughing behind your back.

OK, enough with The National Lampoon's Deteriorata. (Look it up on YouTube.)

Sorry to hear that bit of cr@p news. Hopefully things will work out OK.

That'd be a truly massive undertaking. The database is positively massive, pinging in at almost 800 MB in size, much of it consists of control data and housekeeping stuff. The real meat is in the "posts" table which would need to be joined to "topics" and "users" to be of much use -- and then it'd need formatting for printing. I keep a reasonably up-to-date copy in my lab at home for use in planning updates to the system and the like.

I'm sorry Moon.

I have good relationships with my siblings, but our parents passed away.

Even if we live out our lives and achieve nothing it is better than doing nothing.
That would mean a life of looking on, miserable. Even more miserable than you are now.

No, it's nothing like that. Mom and I get along fine.

We just wondered how close things might be to crashing down, we wondered if we'd be living in two different countries (nations), quite hostile to each other in the not so distant future.

Normally I'm the only one ranting about such things while people just give me a condescending smile and walk away... this time mom got a little spooked. When she mentioned she was thinking about that too, then it went from a rant to me being spooked too...

What if this really is the beginning of the end?

Oh well, no sense worrying about it I suppose. It is what it is, I'll just keep on keeping on until they put a stop to it.

God I pray cool heads prevail for a change. Enough of this already!

Actually, the beginning was in the 1980s with the demise of the Soviet Union. The USA and the USSR had been fighting a financially unwinnable arms-race for years thanks to the hawks, and both countries collapsed under the debt. The Soviet Union went in an uncontrolled fashion and came out as the oligarchy we see today. The United States "blinked" about 15 seconds later and devolved into an oligarchy as well, but the US one was carefully stage-managed to hide the fact from the common man.

Fast-forward a couple of decades and we now see the damage that was done by this -- economies in tatters and both countries at severe risk of imploding and breaking up. So, right now, I think we're in the "end-game" and the fate is sealed -- and it's not going to be pretty. The oligarchs are not going to let go by being asked nicely; this one's going to take violence -- both in the US and Russia -- or both are simply going to flicker out of existence when there's nobody left to keep the lights on.
Oh well, no sense worrying about it I suppose. It is what it is, I'll just keep on keeping on until they put a stop to it.
It may be time for the little guy to just give up and drink the Kool-Aid. It'll be quicker that way.

Thank goodness my parents and grandparents are dead. They'd hate to see what happened.

In a recently defunct forum-a few years back-U.S. domestic politics was described as an Internal Cold War, or as a Cold Civil War.

In the meantime, international politics has begun to resemble the years leading up to World War II.

For me personally...for my old age...I see as the best case scenario is a degraded society that is still limping along.

Not so long ago I got myself in trouble. It wasn't the fault of any politician or anyone else for that matter. But I lost everything, and now, nothing matters.

"Any port in a storm"

In that darkness, I found Christ, and it is that reason and that reason alone I didn't put a bullet in my own head, or hang myself from a rafter.

I really don't give a sh!t about Trump, or Harris, or whatever politician finds themselves on these farce ballots, they weren't there that night, nobody was, nobody from the right, the left, no church.. nobody, only Christ.

I was just worried I may never see my mother again... that's all. But that's okay, it will be what it will be. May the people of the world cling to whatever ruler they need to, as for me, I'll cling to the only thing that got me off my knees that night, the teachings of Christ.

Among those teachings, is a commandment to love one another as he has loved me. I will not let any politician steer me away from this...

I write these things not to get a thread locked or provoke a fight. It's just my thoughts on how I feel. I hope someday people will love one another as brothers.

"United we stand." I still recall vividly the last time we did that -- and with unity from pretty much the last time in late 2001. It was brief -- all too brief -- and poignant and wonderful. 'Tis a pity that was all wasted time when looked at though an historical lens. Squandered on the alter of power and greed.

A lot has changed since 2001.

I guess I'm just an old dinosaur. I'm not going to wish any ill will on my neighbor because of who they vote for. I want us all to succeed.

I don't need a "safe space", I don't need a hug, or anything like that.

I see stuff like what's posted a few comments above and I just hang my head, for it reminds me of how far our society has fallen.

I'm very disappointed in us, I really thought we were better than this, but it's clear we're not.

You're wrong Fred, they're not going is not shoving a red pill up the ass of any liberals... here is what's really happening, and it's going to happen to all of us:
george-orwell-379386.jpg
Read it again... "Always, at every moment, there will be the thrill of the victory, the sensation of trampling on an enemy who is helpless"

Now go back and take another look at Fred's meme and tell me we haven't arrived... :(
