Heat Advisory - Stay Safe

Post by Uncle Al »

Stay cool and safe :!:

For those members East of the Mississippi river, a heat wave is approaching.
I've been under a "Heat Advisory" for the past 3 days. Temps in the mid to high
90's with the THI(Temperature Humidity Index) around 103°F to 110°F.

Everyone needs to stay hydrated and in air conditioning as much as possible.
Yes, we enjoy "The Summer" but voluntarily being roasted to a crisp, forgetting
the power of the sun, can be - and is - dangerous for humanity.

Be cool and stay safe, to skirt another day :!:

I live East of the Mississippi (about 4000Mi.) where average temps present no health problems, providing you have rain-gear.

We have quite enough migrants, legal and otherwise, so don't come here to cool off!.

My wife suggested that, with this heat, I should always add a couple ice cubes to my bourbon.

That would feel unpleasantly warm with that humidity.
Stay inside, drink water and don't use you brain (a large energy user) ........ in that order otherwise there is a chance of omitting the first 2.

The problem with me is that I cannot shut down my brain -- it's always at full-throttle -- and it's how I make my living!

Never mind, I think that if it gets hot enough it will shut down by itself, known as going troppo.
