First time shopping in kilt

Post by DrFishnets »

I finally decided to wear my kilt today going shopping to Tesco supermarket. The kilt is a tartan called Heritage of Scotland and has lovely purple and blue. I wore a dark burgundy waistcoat and black t shirt with light brown timberland boots and bare legs. I was a bit nervous at first when I got out the door and hit the street but nobody batted an eyelid and everything was fine and I got back home with a great sense of achievement. I can say that wearing a kilt in the warm weather is a lot more comfortable than shorts (short pants) and jeans.

Well done. Keep it up, the more you do it the easier it becomes and you may even decide to wear something other than a kilt.

Well done, Dr F. I still possess a 'Heritage of Scotland minikilt (20") which is a comfortable tight fit and looks gorgeous which I simply love to put on.

20" is 'mini' on me, but quite demure and not at all risque. It falls about 5" above the knee, which I consider just right.

That mini kilt looks good in the Heritage of Scotland tartan. I’m thinking about getting that mini kilt. It would look good with thick black tights.

I have been wearing black leggings with a long black t shirt for the past year but recently I have bought a short black pinafore dress and a black pleated skirt and pair them with black leggings.
