Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.
Discussion of fashion elements and looks that are traditionally considered somewhat "femme" but are presented in a masculine context. This is NOT about transvestism or crossdressing.
This designer is putting out vests for guys that are similar in style to the ubiquitous female sleeveless top. Not sure I like the neckline, but just pleased that there are people out there in the clothing industry working / thinking just a little outside the box!
I love the look of sleeveless tops. The 2-3 I've purchased (and either given to my wife or returned) didn't really work for me. Like other clothing, something that looks fab on a skinny female model may not work as well on an older guy with a bit of a belly Sill working on trying to reduce the weight in the hope that being able to wear clothing like this becomes a reality....
I'd probably give something like that a go so long as there wasn't a lot needing to be filled out up top that I don't have. I've got my cap-sleeved mini-dress, and when it was very hot/humid this year found myself knocking around in miniskirts and a couple of my dressier camisoles (which are usually winter fodder to keep my core warm).
