New Denim Skirt from Ebay

Post by johnb »

On Monday I ordered a denim skirt from Ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200798466850? ... EBIDX%3AIT which arrived this morning. Its brand new and at £11.95 with free postage its seems to be a bit of a bargain. There are more left for sale if anyone is interested. I tried it on and it fits me nicely. The seller gives waist measurements against the size, which is useful especially for a man, with size 20 fitting up to a 42" waist.

My only gripe is that denim always seems to come with a warning these days regarding sitting on light coloured upholstery due to possible colour transfer. These skirts are pretty well faded so it shouldn't be a problem, but I wonder whether the warning reflects a change in the dying process or if manufacturers are just being ultra cautious.

I think the only change the warning indicates is an increasingly litigious society.

I quite like this one - and price seems directly proportional to length.

The only thing I am not fussed about is that stitched triangle at the front reminds me of those convert your pants to a skirt blogs.

Aye the "H" you say ! LOL !
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

Yes. When I type in men's skirts on Ebay, they steer me to men's shirts.

Ya you search for S K O R T and ebay steers you to S K I R T which is not altogether too bad.!

Siri are you listening I want S H O R T S with an S K I R T apron panel overlaid in front.
Then sometimes your request is totally ignored and ebay takes you to fender skirts for an automobile.
There are many cases where Siri Ebay Google are not even on the same page.

So who is Siri ? - she is the voice of one of those cell phone search engines I believe it is ATT !

Siri first came about on the Apple I-Phone.
Now, other phone manufacturers are using similar
speech recognition software. You still need to
"train" the software to respond to your vocal
patterns(a.k.a. dialect) based on your location.

It's OK but, I don't really like the software as
I don't like to talk to a computer. Many times
I've called our cable company and have to put
up with a blasted machine before I can even
speak with a LIVE representative.

Such a pain in the chair :!:

"don't really like to talk to a computer"

Now there's something the 2 of us can agree on! Passionately maybe.

Sadly, I think that talking to machines may be our future as we age. There was an interesting and funny film about it : Robot and Frank

Yes, just the other day my refrigerator was telling me the same thing.
