Personality Test

Post by dillon »

First off, I know NOTHING about psychology; it took me two tries before I could even spell it correctly. However, I did take this test and it seemed to peg me pretty well. I'd be really interested to know the personality types (Jungian, I believe) that others have via this test, and your opinions of the results. Again, I don't vouch for its scientific validity, if it has any. I would not know either way. I just found it hit uncannily close to my own personality. I was a type INTP, by the way. The test takes only a few minutes; share the results or not, as you wish. I'm wondering if a lot of us may share a predominant personality profile?

This is a version of the Myers - Briggs test which is copyrighted and is very accurate. I've taken it more than once and always got the same results.

I got Adventurer, specifically, ISFP (The adventurer), variant; Assertive, Role; Explorer.

Many aspects of that seem accurate, I am now reading the accompanying blurb, definitely better than the ten question rubbish on Facecloth.

Edit: Read through the blurb to the end, it is spookily accurate, apart from accusing me of being artistic/creative, because I am not. Apart from that is was so accurate I am now havering over buying the book of detailed assessment. I will leave that option on the back burner until I forget about it though methinks!

The site offers insights and descriptions of the personality types. I always thought I was the only one who understood myself as an individual. I'm a little sad to learn that I'm less unique than I thought, but also relieved that there are others somewhat like me, and that I can be understood for the way that I am.

On Myers-Briggs I score INTP . This scored me INFP-A (The mediator).

I came up with ISFP A, Explorer and Confident individualism, which makes a bit of sense as I practice as a Chiropractor started when Chiro was on the outer, is now more accepted and even worse a Homoeopath, and wear skirts.

ENFP 'Campaigner'

My answers to many of the questions were "...it all depends..."

I guess I would be surprised if many of us fell in that E category...extroverted.

Why not extrovert? Many of the extroverts that I know are the ones that tend to be different or act differently but none I know wear skirts.

I could be wrong, but I would expect extroverts to be more inclined to doing things in ways that would not alienate others, and perhaps more focused on social mores than introverts, who would tend to feel very strongly inside themselves the way they needed to express themselves, and perhaps care less about the impressions of others. But, as I said, I know nothing about psychology.

INTP-A Logician. Seems logical to me; procrastination, overthinking things, independent thinking .......... Not surprising I have chosen to wear skirts.
My name is Anthony, please accept me for the person that I am.

"As an ENTP (Debater), you are a vibrant intellectual force, always ready to challenge ideas and push boundaries. "

There was nothing I could disagree with in the description of my personality, including the weaknesses like challenging authority... I've always enjoyed fighting management lol

I did it professionally when I was part of management at work and got INTP-T. But when I've done it online thinking more about myself and my private life rather than my role at work I got either INFJ or INFP, also T. But since then I've come to understanding that I probably have both Autism and ADD/ADHD, undiagnosed ofc since I never fit the typical bil for either as a kid. So I'm not sure how accurate these kind of tests are on me either.
