Question
This is a pretty obscure question, I'm sure, but just curious if any of you guys around your 50s, especially you all from across the pond, remember a (now deceased) British "Glam-rocker" by the name of Duncan Browne? I can hardly find anyone other than one old friend of mine who knows his music. But I have dug out a couple of his records after decades without hearing them and am impressed at how good he was. He passed away in 1993.

Re: Question
Don't remember him, but I am now listening to the album and it sounds pretty good. Not what I would call glam rock though.
Well, liked track 1, track 2 not brilliant. I will let it play.

Re: Question
The Wild Places and Streets of Fire are the two albums that we know here in the US. His early stuff from 1968 or so is quite odd. Sort of folkish, but not exactly. It didn't interest me.Big and Bashful wrote:Don't remember him, but I am now listening to the album and it sounds pretty good. Not what I would call glam rock though.

Re: Question
I didn't expect you to know of him, Tom; I did suggest that members in their 50s might. Besides, I always figured you for more a Parliment/Funkadelic type, Dr. Funkenstein...Kirbstone wrote:Not my scene, or choice of listening. Didn't know about him.

For me it's gotta be Reggae, Heavy Metal and ear-splitting bass!

Re: Question
Great mix of music sir! Can't fault you with any of those, for me I would go for any of those, add some singer/writer one man+guitar type people, Frank Zappa, Pink Floyd, some delicate stuff like System of a Down and Primus (with the other Claypool offshoots), a smattering of classical music and I am a sucker for music which makes my house vibrate (Cue low organ bass, real or elecronic/synth type).Kirbstone wrote:For me it's gotta be Reggae, Heavy Metal and ear-splitting bass!
