Scottish Referendum campaign videos
I wish to show without any comment from me, a couple of campaign videos which have been aired on the BBC (probably Scotland area only) and STV (Independent TV station for Scotland).
Here is the No campaign video by M&C Saatchi - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLAewTV ... r_embedded
And the Yes campaign video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=p ... bWnBX6BY5A

Re: Scottish Referendum campaign videos
Gee thanks! I have switched to pc and youtube and t'internet to get away from a debate I am thoroughly sick of, I have heard all the arguments, I knew how I was going to vote from day 1, I don't want to hear or see the same arguments any more, I just want to vote and get on with my sad little life, so thanks again and I hope you won't mind if I don't bother clicking the links!
Sorry, it's gone on too long, saturation coverage can go too far, and I've got a headache!
Have a nice day!

Re: Scottish Referendum campaign videos
I sympathize with you on too many campaign videos. We have the same issues on this side of the pond with far to many dollars (in our case) spent advertising one position or another. (I've started turning the TV off during the campaign season.)
Worse, there are the direct phone calls: asking for money (like I'd give over the phone), political surveys of who are "you" going to vote for (why do we have secret elections), and messages from the candidates (like do you know why I turned the TV off in the first place!)
Politics is out of hand - there is too much money out there from special interest groups who try and cram their views down the throats so that they can have their way and the approach is to try and overwhelm people so that they vote for them just to shut the special interest group up.
When you stated that you are tired of all of this - yes I know what you mean because I am tired of all the political hoo-ha that we have to put up with over here.

From various things I've come across, i've come to suspect the excess of political messages and repetition to aggrivation thereof may be a problem that exists at least through much of the English speaking world - and probably quite a ways beyond. I didn't and don't intend to watch the links, primarily because I have to really want something in order to touch a youtube link with even a barge pole.

Although living south of the border I am more intrigued by the issues that haven't been even thought about yet. I think that they really don't even know what they don't know! There are enough of the current major stumbling blocks to ensure that I may feel sorry for the Scots if they do vote for secession. No, I haven't looked at the links and won't. I'll generate more interest if there's a Yes vote.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.
