10Km walk

Post by melsav »

Just finished a 10 km walk, 1hr 33 mins. Wish I had worn a skirt would have been much more comfy. I wore denim short, big mistake, am now sore. 36000 people took part in the walk.Km :o

Maybe next time melsev! It is a great feeling walking whilst wearing a skirt.

I have done 2 charity walks (10 miles each) for Cancer Research and I wore a denim miniskirt (about 14" - 35cm long) on both occasions. Took about 2.5 hrs on each occasion. No negative comments at all - just smiles and thumbs-up's - had a few great positive remarks from women such as "Wow! Man in a skirt! Cool!" and "You've got better legs then me for a skirt!" Both made my day worth while!

Well done on the charity walks, thought mine was long at 10km. The walk I did was a company organized event that takes place every year and I am very sure that I will meet up with people that I deal with every day including work colleges, not sure I am ready for that yet. :D

Thanks melsav! I see your problem with work colleagues - as you say, you may not be ready for that yet. I have changed jobs recently (about 1 and 1/2 years ago - enforced change due to company going bust) so have only gone as far as a traditional plaid kilt at Xmas and a utility kilt at other occasions.

Here was my outfit for the charity walks (called a "Pink Ribbon Walk" as everybody had to wear a pink T-shirt.)
