Way cool! I might have to try that myself. I'm not sure, but it looks like the hose simply passes in front of the woofer?

Of course. The relationship between the frequency the water is (for lack of a better word) excited with and the frame rate the film/video is shot with causes the stop-motion (as well as slow motion/reverse motion) effect. That video was shot at 24fps so they used 24 hz +/-. I'd like to try it, but varying the audio frequency in real time to vary the (apparent) speed of the motion.

Actually, you might could see it live with your eyes if you used a stroboscope at the same frequency to illuminate the water stream.
