I wish I was a girl

Post by RichardA »

Yesterday I'd just had a shower and on looking in the mirror I thought “I wish I was a girl” and then I thought “NO WAY” it would take all the fun out of wearing a skirt.

Oh...I've had that thought...with the caveat that it is a 'short-term' 'walk a mile in their shoes' type of thing and its only the physical changes. I stay 'me' throughout. It's been an interesting 'thought experiment' from time to time in order to consider the 'nature versus nurture' concept. Now...since I was raised by my mother and maternal grandmother, I might be a very poor choice for that experiment.

Now...if we want to say "I wish I was Supergirl!" Hmmmmmm....... :ugeek:

It would be a nice experience for a day, but other than that I am happy to be a man. Excepted for the fact that women tend to live longer than men

My physician told me that the difference in longevity between men and women is totally attributable to blood pressure and cholesterol. Keep those under control and your probable lifespan goes up by ten years.

For my 70th b'day I was required to get a med. cert to renew my driver's licence. Visiting my Dr. he asked me how long was it since I had last visited him......10 years? I guessed. Dead right, he said.....give me your arm ! B.P & urine were OK, so he issued the cert., but advised that I ought to have a blood sample to check on other things.
Fasting overnight before, I had the Vampire Nurse extract some of my red stuff and was told the results would be through in 2 weeks. I was then summoned to hear the results & sat in the DR's office while he perused his screen, a grave look on his face......

Well, he said, whatever you're doing, you go right ahead and continue it, because all your readings are bang in the middle of where they're supposed to be......so I asked him could I go back on the wenching, the booze, the fags & the drugs & he said they were obviously doing me a power of good.

This month I will pass my six-dozen, I've been sticking rigidly to the prescribed diet & I feel fine! :D

Back to the thread...Sodoff!!

I guess that the only reason I would want to be a girl is the variety of clothes that they get to wear. Looking back I have always been envious of that. I like to wear bright colours as I have said in many other posts. Now I want to wear a greater variety of clothes hence my desire to wear skirts a lot more particularly in this fine weather. As for any other reason - no I like being a boy too much. Rather attached to my dangly things. :D
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.

The fact is that men use to have more freedom in clothing just a couple of hundred years ago. So men wearing boring clothing is quite a recent phenomena!

Good thing I am not a girl; they have too much easy availability, at least those who choose to use it. No doubt I would have a terrible reputation! I'd probably be down at the docks waiting for the fleet to come in...

I like the variety also, but men really have more freedom than women. You can dress in any "woman's clothes" you want in public and usually not get in too much trouble in public; if a woman dresses like a man on a hot day, topfree, she might get arrested in many jurisdictions. That's an important freedom for me, as I get hot so easily.

There are men such as myself with breasts who would never consider going topless publicly. My bra cup size is a C and the last thing I would want to occur is for some men to gawk at me.

In the US, only Tennessee, Indiana and Utah outlaw the exposed female breast (plus some local municipalities). Where exposed breasts are outlawed, only outlaws have exposed breasts...

I know Texas does not have a state law against women going out topless in public.

In 1985 I was moving down to the Houston area. As I was driving south on U.S. 59 I noticed this individual who had a shirt open and thumbing a ride. As I got closer to the person I thought to myself, "Boy that person really looks flabby in the chest". Then when I got still closer I realized it was a woman with her shirt open to her chest. :D

I definitly prefer to be a male. We have less complicated bodies, with less to go wrong with them.
I see the quack every six months, and have blood test yearly. All totally tickety-boo thus far (seventy-four), about half original teeth.

Men, I think, make their own boxes to confine themselves in as to dress, behaviour etc. We had a good go at busting out in the nineteen-sixties (at least some of us did) and a lot more fashion freedom flowed from that. I'm certainly pleased I got out of the playpen a bit.
