Bagpipe Flash Mob

Post by Uncle Al »

Thought you folks might enjoy this :D

"Curtin University surprised and delighted its students and staff at lunchtime
on campus with a grand performance -- a rousing rendition of dozens of
bagpipers and drummers from five converging marching bands who appeared
from behind various buildings dressed in casual clothes like students. The
crowd was wowed by the impromptu appearance of these champion pipe
bands from across Perth."

Bravo Uncle Al !

Sadly no skirts were worn (I am sorry that should be kilts) ! LOL !
"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

Great stuff!!
What always jars a bit, which is evident as well in this video, is how the women so often insist on wearing pants.
It's as if they think this is something of a "liberation" and surely must not be as comfortable as the skirts or dresses.
At least from my experience of the clothing option.
And it does nothing for their overall appearance.

My first inclination at the thought of a bagpipe flash mob was to borrow from Conrad and say "The Horror!" But it seemed rather well rehearsed to be a genuine flash mob, and, upon reflection, it could have been much worse; for instance, an accordion flash mob...
