Nice skirt mad price,
Re: Nice skirt mad price,
But, despite the price it has sold out... Did they only make one?

Re: Nice skirt mad price,
Is it just me, or does that model really have unnaturally thin legs?
And why is he wearing trousers? Mind you, if you're daft enough to pay $1720 for a skirt, you're probably daft enough to wear your trews with it!

Re: Nice skirt mad price,
Definitely kinda pricey, and no great style. It looks pretty much like a $30 skirt off the rack.
And the wearer does look kinda thin, even for a fashion model. I suppose those baggy tights / clingy trousers would've looked bulky on normal legs.
But at least someone is keeping the idea of skirts for men in the public eye.

Re: Nice skirt mad price,
Hi Ken C and welcome to the site.
Yes the skirt looks fine but not at the "arm and a leg cost". Such "exclusive" items would only be bought by celebs who have ridiculous amounts of money to spend. For Joe public all we ned to do is look at the ladies racks!
How about telling us a bit more about your self? - like where and when do you wear skirts, types of skirts, any family/friends problems etc. Whether it is all positive are mainly negative, you will find a similar fellow here.

Re: Nice skirt mad price,
Hi Ken,
That Givenchy "manskirt" is just a con, it's not really different to any standard pleated skirt that you could buy from the female section at a fraction of the price.
Oh, and welcome to the cafe.

Re: Nice skirt mad price,
Pure economic sense Tom, nothing more or less.
Personally, I've happily paid a premium for a "skirt" which was unique i.e. the Nukilt, but this offering is pretty much "bog standard"

As you probably know, Stevie, the Grand Canyon was created when one of the Scots Founding Fathers dropped a sixpence while strolling by the Rio Grande.
Yes, that Givenchy money is what I'd spend on something important, and I can think of lots just now, and their offering is just a so-so black skirt, as you say.
I have another being made for me in grey with navy inserts to my personal design and it won't break the bank, either. Dearer than off-the-peg, of course, but way cheaper than a tailored kilt.

Re: Nice skirt mad price,
Hi again Ken,
apologies for hijacking your thread.
However, you have raised a very valid point about the cost of "skirts" for men who are not prepared to cross the divide, simply put, exorbitant. I would also include traditional kilts in that statement.
Tom, check Denhams online, they have a real nice stone/navy pleat skirt for about £40 or so, I'm considering that one.
The point is that if you have the cash, spend it as you will. If you're brave enough and on a budget like the rest of us, cross the aisle, save a bundle and widen your choices to the nth degree.
A skirt is a skirt, no matter the label on it.
Steve.
