Skirt Cafe is an on-line community dedicated to exploring, promoting and advocating skirts and kilts as a fashion choice for men, formerly known as men in skirts. We do this in the context of men's fashion freedom --- an expansion of choices beyond those commonly available for men to include kilts, skirts and other garments. We recognize a diversity of styles our members feel comfortable wearing, and do not exclude any potential choices. Continuing dialog on gender is encouraged in the context of fashion freedom for men. See here for more details.
Most women are quite happy for men to wear skirts (except their own man, of course). They don't claim the right to exclusive use. But a positive recommendation like this is a welcome rarity!

This article is interesting in that it starts to open discussion on the gender role of skirted garments. I did find the bias of the reporter was of the general mindset of today's woman. They much prefer trousers, but won't part with the option of a skirt or two in the wardrobe. This points up the injustice of the situation in a way, as women, without fear or favour, have a choice and, except for most of those of us here, men don't.
