Anyone seen any good April Fools?

Post by skirtingtoday »

Watched Andrew Marr this morning. He had found a report that the Russians are developing a "Zombie Gun" that could be used to scramble peoples brains by attacking their central nervous system...

Or the one in the Guardian website about Shaun Ryder ("Happy Mondays" singer) to teach the Tories as an adviser on social class...

Today somebody walking his dog in Leeuwarden, a town in the north of Holland, saw a sea mine floating in the canal.
The police alerted the fire brigade and bomb squad but after thorough investigation the mine turned out to be made of plastic foam, not plastic explosive.
The mayor said in a television news bulletin "he was not amused".

For you to decide this was a good April Fool or not.

BTW, we say 1 April in stead of April Fool.

Jan.

Looking at the BBC website it seems that the "Zombie gun" (noted above) which I thought was an April Fool might actually be true. At least the BBC thinks so!

But did you spot April Fool spoofs in the Metro?:-

for a "office-safe" prank, i put tape over the optical feedback on several people's mice.

all of them were managers, and the best reaction was one person rebooting their computer twice.

"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

The Mayor said
in a television news bulletin "he was not amused". Wonderful, I always thought the position of Mayor was supposed to be a working job. Sounds like THIS Mayor is a mediocre talker and probably a clothing horse.

To me, one who can suggest or do action must be a person of note, not just a clothes horse and blabbist. (one who blabs a lot). :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint:
