Monday Morning and All is Well
Monday Morning and All is Well
Guys,
It's pretty rare when I logon to this site and find nothing, no new posts! So, in the absence of noise, I will make my own...
I own 3 mid-ankle skirts that look a lot like sarongs, one I found at the "Goodwill" store for $3.00, the other two were patterned off of the Goodwill skirt by my wife. They are all wonderful and comfortable skirts...
Been considering trying a real sarong, so I purchased a sarong from 1 World Sarongs http://www.1worldsarongs.com/sarong-men ... les-2.html. It was made out of rayon is very comfortable.
My biggest concern had been wearing it without risk of a critical failure (sarong drops on the ground and people run away screaming into the night!)... Found a video which described the process and it's not as hard as I thought... I am testing the system around the house and will likely take it out on the road Thursday and Friday evenings if it passes the house test!

Re: Monday Morning and All is Well
Well done. Sarongs are great summer wear, and the fact that you can easily adjust their length and looseness makes them even better. I have two, a fun dark-blue dolphin-print sarong (I don't know what it's made of) which I always roll up to knee-length, and a green cotton kikoy (an east African version) which I decided to experiment on by cutting to knee-length and attaching tape to the waist so that it can be securely tied. I have attracted a few looks while wearing them on holidays, but it has always been good cheerful fun. Let's enjoy the rest of the summer (in the N.H.)!
