Hello again

Post by Brandy »

I think I have been gone almost a year. The last time I remember posting was just after my mother died. Since then life has kinda turned upside down and back up again. A few months later I lost my older sister.

Well all of that is over and I am moving forward. July is coming up along with my annual trip to Wisconsin to se my brothers and go to the Oshkosh fly-in -- Experimental Aircraft Association.

I have a new digital camera to take pictures with and last year my brother mentioned a PARTY! Family reunion type the last weekend of July. My nephew's wedding in Sept, today I picked up a black pin strip UK mocker for the occasion.

I also picked up a UK Survival, I want to see how well it works for airline travel with the big detachable pockets.

Currently work is stable. So life is good again.

My Survival is my preferred travel garb. The detachable pockets have produced many smiles at the security checks and their sheer capacity is amazing. I have found that they also need to be detached and put in the pocket of the seat in front of me while flying as most aircraft seats are too narrow to accommodate all my stuff and still allow access to it (at the prices I'm prepared to pay).

The kilt always gets noticed by the flight crew and has regularly started conversations with other travellers that I would not otherwise have had.

Have fun,

Ian.

It is good to read you again, Brandy! I'm sorry for the travails of the past year, but it sounds like things are on the up-and-up now and you're getting back in the swing of things.

Enjoy the fly-in -- that sounds like it'll be an interesting event!

Thank you, for the comments. It feels good to be coming out the other side of that tunnel. I am not sure what has changed but one thing did change my waist, not sure how that happened!

Milfmog, thanks for the comment on the survival kilt. I had been trying different things with varying degrees of success. One thing I found for sure trouser are painful :( ! Long skirts are nice but can be a hand full to manage, knee length were the best so I'm back to UK's again :D.

Again thanks for the kind words.

luvtoskirt,

Interesting I see a few UK's I have hardly ever seen another male in a skirt, unless I catch my reflection.

We now have a UK branch office in San Francisco, it makes me wonder where all the UK's are. I know of one on the proprietor of a coffe shop in Mountain View.

At least UK's now get recognized as a brand of themselves.

Seems at least a year, Brandy, good to see your branch of the intelligensia of male skirters. Don't make it soo long before your next fly by. :faint:
I had to remove this signature as it was being used on Twitter. This is my OPINION, you NEEDN'T AGREE.

I guess it's where I live, but I takes me about 20 seconds to resolve "UK" into "Utilikilt".

Not a complaint, just an observation.

If you happen to be in front of my apartment building in San Francisco about 7AM weekdays, (a little later on weekends) you will see a male in a skirt as I pick up the papers my my neighbor and myself. I tend toward being cold, so I haven't been around town skirted since last fall. But we'll have a warm Saturday or Sunday again someday. :)
