Swimming Kilt for men

Post by alanyip83 »

Hi,
I want to sell a swimming kilt designed for men. Made from INC, navy blue, elastic waist 32-36.
Anybody interested just reply this post?

Thanks.

A kilt by definition would to far too heavy and far too long to allow the wearer to swim safety without a medical incident requiring rescue. There are several skirted swim suit bottoms readily available for less than five dollars that are far more practical when one desires a skirted swim suit. Again I fear that the word "kilt" is being grossly misapplied to skirts that simply do not even come close to meeting the definition of a kilt. The "kilt" word appears to be little more than an attempt to appease a "less than robust" male sexual identity.

That's just stupid. Swimming clothing should allow oneself to get through the water with the minimum of drag. Wearing what purports to be a non aqueous garment in the water is dumb. What next? The swimming dinner suit for the man about town?

I wish you luck with your endeavour, but am struggling to imagine where you will find a market for a swimming kilt. Unless you are considering a kilt that can swim on its own... that might have sufficient novelty value to sell :D

Have fun,

Ian.

PS I have no problem with the word kilt being used for any skirt designed for men. If it is enough to overcome some folks reluctance to wear a skirt, that can only be a good thing. If it also manages to irritate a few Scots that is just a bonus

(Any gentlemen from North of Hadrian's rather wonderful idea, should realise that I am typing this after having spent the evening in the company of two Scottish friends (amongst others) in a curry house where not only was too much curry consumed, but also too much Cobra. No serious offence is intended. Honest!)

heh heh heh wtg ian.. Wouldn't a kilt that short have to have PANTS under it?? If so, aren't we defeating the reason for a kilt?? :faint:
