Hello!

Post by microskirt »

Hello All,

I managed finally to create an account. I am sure you have guessed.. I am a skirt wearer who prefers miniskirts above all other types.
I am pleased that you have this site running as the ability for men to wear skirts is something that has been an issue for a while now. I do hope it continues to become more popular.

And welcome to the mad skirters tea party.
A picture is worth a thousand words - you have said quite a bit!
Not much action here on the micro set; but we could use some
enlightenment on the short side.
So tell us how much Rodney Dangerfield (respect) you get when
out and about in your minimal gear.
I too like the short-er-est skirt although in a skort to avoid the
unexpected exposure. Fewer encounters of the overexposed kind.
Unless you go to the LA beach shops you just can not find short-
shorts for guys anymore. And even then all they have are the board
shorts that hang 10 somewhere between knees and ankles.
You are in good company here - Welcome to the SkirtCafe Forum.

Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

Hi, and welcome to this cafe. From the corner occupied by grumpy old men, I'll say that your skirt length is WAY beyond my comfort level. In fact the first photo reminds me of a skirt I looked at in a surf shop about 6 months back. I said "Wee e l, mebbe a bit short on me" and the pretty young sales girl and I both fell about laughing at the thought of this 60 year old in such a garment. Enjoy your freedom young feller, now let me adjust the straps on my skirtalls and continue whittling.

Sonny, I don't think your "skirts" are above MY comfort level, they are some of the best looking BELTS I've ever seen. (more comments from the "grumpy old men" corner).. :alien: :hide: :alien:
I had to remove this signature as it was being used on Twitter. This is my OPINION, you NEEDN'T AGREE.

Hi All,

Thanks for all your encouragement. Yes, I know we are not all going to like exactly the same things. It's just something I feel more comfortable in, not to say that some of the longer styles would be a bad idea, if they suited. :)

I guess we should also observe the same fashion notes as women, in that dressing mutton as lamb, especially when you're into senior age figures, is less cruel to the onlooker if it can be avoided. As a 60+ I can't imagine myself getting away with skirts that short (and would probably get cramp if needing to weld my legs together that tight when sitting for long periods!), but for the younger guy with nothing to lose but any inhibitions about pelmet wearing, why not? You look sensational. Have fun while you can. I do know that shorter skirts are physically speaking the most comfortable of all skirts as I do enjoy their sense of 'almost nothingness'...but always well out of public eyeshot. If a very short skirt can be worn like this whilst still retaining a male presence, then we've more or less cracked it!
As a matter of interest, what public/verbal reactions do you receive or notice - if any - (not that it matters of course  )

The public aspect is very very minimal currently. Some certain ladies have seen the look and have complimented. (I should imagine this is often the case that women are more forgiving to "new looks" than men) I guess it is one step at a time, and as long as there is opportunity, I think it should be taken.
Sadly, for at least a while yet, it looks like there will be continuing resistance in the public. However, I do feel this will change.. at least I hope so

This could be a truth, but only as long as the lady is not your lady, I guess.

Oh and welcome.

The pantyhose look good too. I also wear pantyhose. They make the legs feel (and look) great!

I was reluctant to try them at first, but yes I believe it does improve the look, and helps create a look that people are used to.
