NXE for the MS Xbox 360

Post by dragonslain »

For those of you that don't know, today MS launched the new dashboard for their gaming system. One of the big features of the new dashboard is to have an avatar to represent you in their digital world. All the bottoms for guys happen to be long pants save for one, a pair of cargo shorts. No skirts. Not even a kilt. The bottoms for female avatars are mostly skirts, including a few knee-length tartan skirts that look like kilts (ie flat in the front, pleats in the back)

I think we should try to get a petition together to get MS to add skirts, if at a minimum kilts, for for the male avatars.

What do you guys think?

Social stereotyping again!
I'm not sure that a petition is the thing to do, but certainly we should contact MS/xbox and request kilts/skirts for the male avatars. It should take them a few mouse clicks as the female kilts only need duplicating in the lads' section. Hit them with "gender equality"
Will MS listen? maybe.

actually, i am betting that they will NOT listen. it's not in their business interests to have little johnny in some red state get freaked out by seeing a video game man in a skirt. a while back, there was a person whose LEGALLY REAL NAME was Richard Gaywood. Micro$haft made him change his name.
