Skirt? Kilt?? Just the job!

Post by howardh »

Let me know if any of you buy this! Price looks OK, pity they don't do the waste in inches (I think size 16 is 34")!

Very nice. looks quite unisex if you ask me. :D
A man is the same man in a pair of pants or a skirt. It is only the way people look at him that makes the difference.

Nice skirt/kilt of sorts - but you are are going to be disappointed about the UK size 16.
Check their size chart out at this link:

http://www.laredoute.co.uk/Static/Stati ... SizeGuide2

The UK size 16 equals a waist of 31-32 inches (not 34).
UK sizes in general use a larger number to equal the same US size.
I.E. UK 16 equals US 14.
To get a 34 inch waist you are going to have to go to a UK 18 or 20.
The max size is 16 on this skirt.
The waist on this skirt is fixed with a back zipper closing - I don't
think there is going to be much fudging to get the extra two inches
unless there is some elastic stretch in the waist band. The waist is
complemented with a detachable belt - just maybe you can snug the
belt up to make it fit. Good luck.

A good find you've got there. This would look good on me, or on my husband if I could only persuade him to wear it! :-)

Cheers,

Hi,
Depends where you get the skirt from---and where it is made. I can get some Matalan 14 on easily, yet some Matalan 16 is tight, Walmart/Asda 16 is generous- on me anyway. Not had LaRedoubt stuff for years, so forgotten the fit. I guess you will have to try it on in shop, ( could be good fun )or buy two sizes and take back the one that doesn't fit. :D :D

At first, second and third glance the model's legs look almost masculine. Perhaps it's a man wearing it...?

I like the denim skirt on the same page, bottom row for £29 - my size as well :)

Charlie:
Maybe but the legs are too slim and hair free and then the hands - polished thumb nail visible on the
models right hand protruding out of the pocket. Have to zoom in and enlarge.
A nice outdoor orientated skirt suitable for either sex. Would rather have a darker color (black)
then the brown or off-white.
