SkirtChaser Race Series

Post by Kris »

It looks like a race series run by (or designed for) SkirtChaser:

I wonder if a guy can ask for the skirt rather than the shorts in his race package?

I had to remove this signature as it was being used on Twitter. This is my OPINION, you NEEDN'T AGREE.

Or I'll swap you for the shorts if they could do one with a skirted male silhouette instead of female! :D Thanks for pointing this out, Kris. While I love the race name you know it can't be designed by me or there would be male skirts. :thumleft:

It looks like you can buy the skirt alone here http://www.skirtchaser5k.com/shop.cfm though the point of it being for a man would be lost on the company.

I've got a shirt coming to me now. :D http://www.skirtsports.com/products/ski ... ce-tee.cfm After checking out there was a survey and I made sure to mention in the open comments section the suggestion that they could make skirts for men too. Though Skirt Sports styles might not be to your liking, guys. Most of their skirts have shorts inside and some have full pants, their skirt is designed for the look.

Some nice quality items here. Basic black and other vibrant pastels.
Have ordered from them. Caution their sizes run small use a measuring tape.
Extra Large (XL) can be a real problem. Inventory of XL items limited. The waist
band on most of their items is non existant. The skirts and shorts are made to
ride at a 'Low (rise) Waist'. The running skirts - make sure they have adequate
leg movement; get the design with the slits not the corset type apron. They all
come with what they call the 'Spankies' - a small internal panty or compression panty.
With the cycle skirt the panty has the padded insert in the crotch. Light weight
material easy wash and wear. Prices are a tad on the expensive side - watch for sales.
If you have bought from them before they have return buyer sales - sign up for
email notification.
FYI you can do a lot better on ebay or some of the nationwide sports outlets.

"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

Yep, small market and limited production among other things makes for expensive full-price clothes. It looks like the outlet tab is the only place I'd go shopping there though I did see I had gotten an email this morning that every day in October one item will be advertised as 50% off. :) It is funny you mentioned fitting being a problem, RM. Even being a woman most of those clothes won't fit me because I'm not the size of a runner and I have a larger chest than they plan for. 8) Some of the men here might get a good fit if they check the sizing as you recommend. Given the elasticity of the material I think a man could look quite good in a running dress because his arms would be showing fully which easily distinguishes him as a man in addition to the flat, broad chest unavailable from most unaltered dresses.

I read about one SkirtChaser Race that they gave the men in skirts a 3 min head start over the women

Oh cool, not long enough to keep the men from being caught by motivated skirt chasers like me. :D That is great to know one of the races had skirted men though I wonder if it was played for laughs. After reading a little about the race and how the women get a head start then the men come in as if chasing the skirted women I figured they would be less open to the idea of skirted men, especially since the clothing line is about being able to be a female athlete without having to sacrifice femininity so emphasizing skirts = women.
