Skirts at Football
Skirts at Football
I like watching football (can't afford it much these days though!) and with the macho surrounds I've never had the courage to wear a skirt. My friends through football aren't the sort of people who'd understand and I'd fear getting beaten up by people who don't know me. Has anyone ever worn a skirt to football, can you offer any advice?

Just wear what you like to - it nice and cool i do the same when I wear tights, mini skirt and boots and took my dog the the big park with some people around - didnt notice me, some noticed but say nothing, just say good morning then that all... I was wee bit nervous at 1st time but afterward it seem much relax - you can wear skirt to football match that fine.

Since I don't know where either of you are from, all I can add is that Kilts are very popular at European Football (Soccer) or Rugby matches in England (I don't know about the rest of Europe).

I had to remove this signature as it was being used on Twitter. This is my OPINION, you NEEDN'T AGREE.

Judging by the abject performance of Rangers during the week, I'd say a very happy tim....
...and like most tims and bluenoses, not from Glasgow..
I'm a supporter of my local team - St Johnstone.

A magnificent logic leap there, Curran.
Not in Perth, but originally lived near Perth. You mean there's another monotrouser wearer in the Fair City?

Well I'm a St. Mirren supporter. I can't see any problem with wearing a kilt or denim skirt to go watch a football match, with thick socks and boots. So long as you don't wear anything fem looking, such as tights or high heels, floral prints or lace, I don't think any of the other fans here in Scotland should cause you any problems. I would think a single colour kilt/skirt, either in saffron or bottle green would be ideal wear for a Celtic supporter in view of the team's Irish connections.

I play for a lower level Scottish League side and find the changing room atmosphere not conducive to wearing one of my skirts.
I do get away with a kilt now and then - but daren't let on that I wear it as a skirt rather than a clan tartan.
