My new AmeriKilt

Post by WSmac »

Here's a photo I just went outside and took.
It's my new Amerikilt in green.
I've had it all of 2 days and 3 nights (Took it home from the post office the first night and promptly put it on for the rest of the evening!).

I've worn it around town and to school both days.

IT'S GREAT!

I really like my UK and MountainKilt, but this one is going to see a LOT of wear time... it's so soft! Much unlike my workman's kilt...still...after many many washings

So that's the second picture. (I am having these hosted on Google's Picasa site and sometimes they don't work... hope they do this time)

The first is of me wearing my UK while leaning on my new Prius.
This is one amazing car! I am really having fun with it.
Sure beats my old pickup truck for gas consumption, inside noise, and comfort!
My daughter picked out the color... they didn't have the ones I was really interested in... Charcoal Grey or Dark Blue.
Anyway, the red color is growing on me.. it's a nice deep red, not a flashy sporty red!

Funny thing about my AmeriKilt...
The folks at my local post office know me quite well for wearing skirts and going barefoot often.
When the guy brought around my package (didn't fit into my tiny mailbox), he called out, "OH, You're gonna like this one!"... he had seen the name - AmeriKilt on the return address. :D

I even offered to try it on right there for him and the ladies working the counter...

but they opted not

I keep telling them that the U.S. Postal Service should start allowing the guys to wear kilts!

Now that's the essence of this site- a happy man wearing what he wants where he wants. You are looking great, Mark!

I may wind up being skirted this summer more like 80-90%
My main clothing used to be shorts, but after exploring the skirt-wearing issue more at school the last several semesters, I can see it's a 'no-brainer'!

I can get by with my skirts without all the flack I thought would come my way.

Thanks Skirt Chaser! :D

Good looking kilt. I'm going to look into getting one myself.

What length is the Amerikilt?

Post by tesjolts »

I like your Amerikilt, what's the length? That's kind of what I'm looking for.

I got a size 38 (96.52cm) with a length of 22inches (55.88cm).
The original price was $98 but with shipping it totaled out to $107.95.

The color is AKOlive.

I have to say that I still cringe at the price I pay for these things, but I realize I am purchasing a 'specialized' product even though my intent is to utilize it as a general purpose item.

I'm never going to pay $100 for a pair of pants though!

I actually wore my CitySkirt Thursday to school.
I forget the name of the one I have but it's the long blue denim skirt.

I'll probably be wearing more sarongs this summer also.
I'm working on figuring out the dohti still... reading descriptions online is not the easiest learning method for me.
