Yes, My pal is availing of the relatively cheap refurb. costs in Turkey before heading West. At the moment they are renewing all the teak decking, which had taken a beating over the years and a lot of the silicone caulking had washed out.
I'll pick her up at Messalonghi, on the Gr. Mainland North of Patras, W. Peloponese and we'll island hop up to Corfu before heading across to the heel of Italy &c.

50 years ago this year I took the ferry in August 1966 from Brindisi to Iguomenitsa via Corfu and drove via Arta & Messalonghi to an old ex-WW2 landing craft single-ended ferry across to Patras on our travels then. Now they have the impressive Rio Antirio Bridge, which looks like a hump-backed version of the Millau Br. in France.

Lord have MERCY it's COLD today.

Barley made it out of the 30's with wind gust of 50mph.

I really HOPE this is winter's last hurrah this year.

90% of my "non traditional" attire is meant for WARM weather. To me, wearing about 4 skirt layers, leggings, and shirt layers.... well it's just as cumbersome as heavy trousers. On day's like this I only wear skirts to keep up appearances.

Tomorrow temps return to the 60's. Although I'm having a hard time believing it as cold as it has been today.

^Well, it is wacky weather season. I remember 2008 being an especially odd spring here in Washington state. One week, 3-4" of snow on the ground. A couple weeks later, temperatures in the low-mid 90s. Similar stuff occured in 2009 as well. Although, in that year, it was more a span of 6 weeks. Took a photo of my car on April 3rd of that year with 3" of snow around it. By May 19th, our high temperatures remained above 75 deg F until sometime late August, early September. On July 28th, Seattle hit 103. Places out near my area were around 107-112. So, southern Arizona temperatures.

And I'm not kidding around. I believe as a result of environmental havoc that man has unleashed, in addition to the U.S. governments desire to control the world, they experiment with things like this to manipulate the weather. But Nature won't be controlled by man. She may be pushed around a bit, but at the end of the day, she always has the upper hand.

And I'm not talking about accidental "global warming" caused by pollution, I'm talking about man's actual, non-accidental, and engineered attempts to alter the weather.

Man better stand down.

I agree with you when I was in the Air Farce I was privy to some really weird stuff that was an attempt to make storms over Russia. I also heard that the Russians were doing the same trying to wreck hell with our weather and now we are enjoying the benefits of both.

Just a few weeks from June... heat is still running, still wearing tights...

Of course, summer always returns on Monday. I don't know what it is about weekends, it's always rainy and/or cold. Today the sun is out, but it's 50 degrees and the wind is whipping. And it's NOT a tropical 50... no sir... this 50 smells of Canadian air!

We came just a few degrees of having a frost last night. I thought about Dillon as the heat pump kicked in... him sleeping in that tent downtown on a "freak May"..

I promise it's not normally like this!

Sunday bloody Sunday.... It's a slap in the face when the temp hits the mid 80's through the week, and interestingly when I'm on call. But the moment Moon Shadow is off-- chills and rain! BAAAAHHHH!!!

Today the sun is out, but it's 50 degrees and the wind is whipping. And it's NOT a tropical 50... no sir... this 50 smells of Canadian air!

Smells of garlic, shale oil, and forest-fires is it? Here, it's about 60; yesterday it was almost 80. There were a couple of days earlier in the week with 30 degree swings between night-time and daytime temperatures. It's been weird.

At least the sun is mostly out, a nice breeze is blowing, and the rhodies are getting really into full swing now with the blooms. I need to spend some quality time with my camera.

Indeed, and I plan to camera up today. Today is the day my wife and I will be celebrating our 13th, even though tomorrow is the actual day, I'll be working and I can't guarantee I'll be home in time to do anything. We've got a gift card for Cracker Barrel I want to use, and we may take a country ride, and I'll leave the 200mm on the camera and see if I can get some more "candid" shots of people, places, and things.

For dress today, black tights, my hunter green mouseworks, and a smooth white slip under to help keep the mouseworks from clinging to the tights, (also give the skirt a bit of flare which is nice), and a light brownish (sort of, almost "dirty white" decorative long sleeve top, full brim hat, but not my hill billy one. Tried to style it up a bit today...

Of and since Mr Sunshine is shining bright after all... my "girly sunglasses"!

As of few days ago we have ourselves a new government here and high on their agenda is to implement total control of the weather. So far, so good. We've had wall-to-wall sunshine and nice mid-twenties temps, but still cool at night. Angela Merkel would approve.

Meanwhile the opposition parties are threatening to send the fine weather belly-up from late Tuesday. Their weapon....Strong moist Sou-Westerlies. Ah well !

I know, I programmed Phoenix AZ into my weather app so I can just look at it and dream of what could be....

4 seasons is HIGHLY overrated. Once you get out of school and thus, no longer have "snow days"... winter ceases to be fun..

We're just heading into our winter here.
The coldest it gets here is about 6°C (43°F) and a typical winter day will be about 21°C (70°F) and sunshine.

One of the joys of living at a coastal location at latitude 27°30' away from the equator...

Went from 83 deg F and partly sunny to 55 deg F and rainy within 24 hours. Today, slightly milder, but still rainy. Supposed to be this way for about a week or so, then start clearing up a bit, only for the annual "Pacific Northwest June Gloom" to hit in another week.
