No, I did not stop. My former wife was right next to me, and besides, I could have been waylaid by that woman. Remember you don't have to be big to carry a pistol!Caultron wrote:So did you stop?

This is an interesting subject to think about. Male Health.
For instance, what amazing medication might I be on to keep me tickety-boo at my age?
Felodipine. Five milligrams daily.
Felodipine is certainly not a new drug, out of patent even, but it's magic. What it is,is a tissue softening drug. Just what you need.
As our bods age they become stiffer. Including the arteries, [especially the bloody arteries!] so as the heart pumps, no bulging occurrs each pulse, so the blood rockets allong the stiff tube. But that means more pressure is needed, and so: elevated blood pressure!
The Plendils soften those arteries. I'd reccomend that one to all older people.
On prescription only here.

Stopping for hitchhikers. I usually stop if they look okay. Usually students or young people on an overseas expeience.
I hichhiked all around Australia in the 'sixties. Some of the driving was attrotious. I'd offer to take over, and often did.
Swap ends on a railway crossing? That happened. But not with me at the wheel.

I was advised by my cardiologist, and I have done research on the internet, to drink pomegranate juice as that softerns the arteries and keeps them soft, also to eat at least 1 avocado per week as that stops the platelets in the blood sticking together. I have been drinking 1 glass of pomegranate juice per day for the last 2 years. On my last visit to the cardiologist I had blood tests done and was told that my test came back that a 30 year old would be envious off. The juice is also full of vitamin c.Jack Williams wrote:This is an interesting subject to think about. Male Health.

Pomegranate juice. That sounds interesting. I'll see who sells it around here.
I was on 7.5 mg, but just reducing salt to a minimum got me softer.

The open warfare on statins is raging strongly over here with doctors apparently divided into the anti and pro camps. I was prescribed them but stopped taking them a couple of years ago as I was experiencing side effects. I'm still not convinced about all the hype on their safety so I'll continue not to take them and save the NHS a few bob.
I believe in offering every assistance short of actual help but then mainly just want to be left to be myself in all my difference and uniqueness.

Jack, 100% Pomegranate juice is very expensive here, so I get the juice that is mixed with other juices like apple and berry juice then mix that with lichi juice 50/50, I like it that way myself and it seems to be working for me.
