:) Denim can have that effect on our sensibilities! -but there is a market for it, and if some young men take to wearing denim skirts then it could have a positive long-term effect on making skirts in other materials more "acceptable".

Their pricing is out of the range of most everyone for the "Boyfriend" skirt
$50.00 is not what I'd call a 'normal' price.

Are some of you deliberately missing Stu's point? A mainstream retailer says that this skirt is unisex.

Where have you ever seen that before? A mainstream retailer says that this skirt is unisex.

Yes, it's short, too short for most guys who have posted on this thread, but some of our younger or more daring members wear skirts that length. If skirts are to become normal menswear, young guys are going to have to wear them - where better to start than in a skirt that a mainstream retailer says is unisex?

The hem is "distressed", which is so "last year" that even Marks & Spencer don't do it any more, but a mainstream retailer says that this skirt is unisex.

If you wore it and went commando, you'd get arrested for indecent exposure, but nobody is suggesting that you do: the model is wearing fairly thick tights and she has less to hide than you or me under this skirt that a mainstream retailer says is unisex.

It's expensive for what it is, and you could easily find one pretty much the same, a lot cheaper. But this one is ground-breaking: a mainstream retailer says that this skirt is unisex!

The only model in the picture is female, but a mainstream retailer says that this skirt is unisex. No doubt some women will mention it to their male friends, and some of them may just decide to give it a go and conclude that this skirt is unisex.

Oh, and one other thing, that I think Stu might have overlooked. The most amazing thing about this is it must just be a sign of things to come: a mainstream retailer says that this skirt is unisex!

:D

Just like designers that say their skirts are men's skirts.

Anyone noticed that the item is sold out (after a quick internet search)? Too few made or too popular?

I think that skirtyscot is trying to tell us that a mainstream skirt manufacturer is selling a, admittedly plain denim short skirt, as a UNISEX item and hence by implication suitable for both MEN and women! That has got to be progress.

I posted this a while back - - -
"Tongue in Cheek" - - -
Here I am in my Old Navy cargo type (short) denin skirt; pockets on sides (off hips) none front or rear.
I don't use pockets anyway so the fanny bum bag works fine for me other accessories are a cell phone
and leatherman tool.
The weather was a tad on the chill side so I am wearing my shocking maroon leggings *
* No exposure issues here everything is nicely in order and out of sight !

Skirt is 15" hem length with a 7 inch zipper (covered by bum bag).
Now this is the short short that I like - no binding pencil skirts for me.

"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

Well, rma, that is one way to get people to miss the fact that you are wearing a skirt. They will be blinded by the leggings!

Thank you to SkirtyScot and Sinned - yes, this is a skirt made by a mainstream manufacturer and advertised as unisex. I don't know if it is a first, but it is certainly a landmark and, whether you like the skirt or not, it is a significant development.

That is all I was saying.

And since your student and her boyfriend both bought one, the manufacturer must be right!

I like it. That looks like the kind of skirt I wear in summer. I wear similar length shorts and I know many people did not even notice it was a skirt for a while.

It definitely sounds like progress to me. I would wear it, but probly with tights to avoid exposure!

Stu is right. The main thing is NOT whether the skirt is too short, or that it resembles most other denim mini skirts, BUT that it is marketed as a UNISEX skirt.
And worn, as shown, with thick tights, a man of normal build can wear it, too. For my age 10 cm longer should be better.

Well like it. I have several denim skirt of the same length. I hate leggings and tights. A good pair of knickers is all that is needed under such skirt.
I welcome the the fact that it is marked unisex.

Didn't expect you to say that!

Seems to be 35cm or 36cm long - about 14", which is too short for me. If I did dare to go that short, I would have to wear tights. Anything less and I would worry about exposing myself.

The translations are priceless! For example, "Blue of a feeling of hard discoloration that I let you charge with beige taste and vomit well, and was crowded is ancient custom jeans in exquisiteness"! :?:
