Cafe partrons' style preferences

To follow from the age poll, I've also created this one.

Just wondering how we see our style preferences; again, no rights or wrongs. The options given (and suggestions for what fits the options) are not meant to be exhaustive or to pigeonhole us. I've also set it so that you can select up to two options and revisit at a later date if you change.

And I've posted what I consider to be my style choices as a start.

Brave heart: Too limited in style. If I want to appear like a tough skirted guy, I'll join the Ladies from hell regiment;)

Famboyant: I leave that to the more brave souls.

I wear mostly black. My Goth side is probably the main cause of that, but also, I like subdued colors. Though I will admit, I like shine at times, and wear shiny or shimmery black fabrics. I don't like male attire having to be dull to be acceptable. I like my skirts fitted as well, even form fitting, though I wear loose ones as well.

Progressive I like the best.

Though, there are definitely times I like to go freestyle and wear something quite attractive, and flamboyant, such as the Chenogsam

I'm a centrist when it comes to my clothing styles. Willing to experiment a bit, but not willing to go all the way.

As I've menioned before, I tend to take a slightly more elegant and formal approach than is common, and I do not shy away from cut nor colour . I am fortunate to have a body-type that lends itself to close cuts (but not tight) and I think that the colours commonly available in men's clothing are simply boring. I plopped myself in the "Progressive" category as well.

I think that this poll will tell us quite a bit about each others' tastes!

I dropped into both Conservative and Progressive boxes. As I like dark, subdued mid calf and I also like Hawaiian style floral sarongs.

I am normally Conservative for everyday wear, but like and am working up more courage to go out in some Progressive styles. I wear some with friends and around the house, but still feel a little self conscious being soft and frilly in the general public.

And just in case anyone takes that wrong, soft and frilly to me is lighter colors, florals or prints and not likely denim. But really, even florals don't make it yet. If it has fish or palm trees, maybe a couple hula dancers, now that's fair game. A big step for me...

I've also found two camo skirts, one forest, the other desert from "Faded Glory" that I really like. They go well out Geocaching and general walking. Also lighter weight than my denim skirts for the summer weather and still have pockets. I like pockets.

I'm sure a lot here saw "Hairspray" the movie. When I think of "soft and frilly" I think of John Travolta in the ending dance in the shimmery red and gold dress. What an actor! AND what a Dancer! That was some fat suit he wore for that movie. He tried so hard to sing in falsetto, but his voice is naturally deep. I liked the movie 'cause the clothes in it were from the time period when I was young and perky. I was middle and high schooled in the middle and late 50's. Graduated High School 'class of '60.

My most lurid "skirts" are surf kilts. Discounting the three dragon prints in black, blue and red background, i also have one with beach belles of distinctly 40s to early 50s and an all over hibiscus print. These are my most 'progressive skirts. (I discount traditional Indonesian batik sarongs of which I have many-and love) All my skirts are solid colour, belt loop and pocket variety in twill, corduroy or denim.
