Sapphire:
I gather that Yeyo is getting better attention in medical matters than you!
Right now there is no perfect medical system but we need to get one FAST!
Otherwise we may just as well subscribe to Soylent Green (Science Fiction
movie with Charlton Heston); I won't go into the gruesome plot/details of
the movie!

"YES SKIRTING MATTERS"!
"Kilt-On" -or- as the case may be "Skirt-On" !
WHY ?
Isn't wearing a kilt enough?
Well a skirt will do in a pinch!
Make mine short and don't you dare think of pinching there !

Oh great mister Anderson! Now my minds gonna be turning that over for the next few days;)
What if the lack of proper health care is the paveway to solving the world's food problem?
MMMMMM, soylent green. It's people.

Damn now you spoiled it!
Yes indeed if we do not wake up and do something - anything at all
we just as well be fodder for the next generation and drift away in
peace as Edward G Robinson did in the movie.
Every Turkey Jerk in government and the medical industry should be
required to see the movie 10 times and see the folly they are thrusting
on us because of their greed.
I am getting very warmed up by this - so I better get off the soap box
and cool off. Universal Health care is not universal enough!!!!!!!!!!

RM--Exactly

and Congress MUST subscribe to the same Universal Health Care.
Maybe then they would see just how bad the situation is because
they must wait their turn. No more 'hang-nails' to be Doctor'd on,
they must wait or do it themselves. Maybe they would try to
change Health Care back to what it originally was. Who knows

Also, take away their government 'pensions' (original salary for the
rest of their lives) and put them on Social Security just like the rest
of us. IF they were to draw a pension, it should be 10% of their
'working'(if you call it work) salary, plus Social Security with Medicare.
I'll bet they would change their 'tune' in a heart-beat

No they did not. I was discharged without a diagnosis.
Then, to add insult to injury, the MDs office wouldn't return the pharmacy's requests to refill my bp meds. It took a week, 3 faxes and multiple phone calls to get that refill.
Grrrr......
Miserable sods. They should all some day need a prescription, and find their doctor's office won't return their pharmacy's request. Take good care of yourself...

Re: San Francisco Pride 2009
Yes, I would posit that the cats get better and more competent medical care than I do.
Yeyo is going in to get his staples out and his casts cleaned up tomorrow.
I go to the Dr on Thursday. If I get the old line "you need to take better care of yourself"' I think I'll go postal. What I need are better human medicine practitioners. I learn more about human medicine from DVMs than from MDs.

Noooooooo Sapphire, don't go postal. Just go pick yourself up a bag of yeyo and zonk out.

Diagnosis!
Rather than a bag of yeyo, I prefer a gin & tonic, lots of ice (Solid H2O).
OK, today was mental health day. Had a nice session with my therapist and then saw the psychiatrist. Told the psychiatrist about the fun and games with the hospital and being discharged without a diagnosis.
He muttered something to the effect: "I hate when they do that" and then turned to me and said "You had heat stroke".
Makes sense. I have a long history of heat intolerance and had my first heat stroke when I was 7 and have multiple events during the summers.
In the medical profession they say that when you hear hoofbeats you should look for horses, not zebras. In this case they were looking for horses when they should have been looking for polar bears.
Doubt that I can get a refund from the hospital though.

Sapphire,
When you advised me to find a freezer and crawl in, and Carl
said a walk-in beer cooler would be better, maybe you need
to complete your 'home addition' by including a walk-in cooler.
I know Carl would love to keep it 'stocked', but he better
leave room for your easychair
Be sure there is a second
entrance/exit which leads to your swimming pool
(It would also keep your computers cool while you're working with them
)

Must note: (Don't attack me for this)
The topic has gone clear off the tracks.
But I am sure you knew that.

Amen, sister. Gin and tonic is a wonderful cure for heat stroke, especially with lots of ice, and a segment of lime. I'm glad Yeyo is doing well... and glad you're doing better, too. A good doctor is a pearl beyond price, and just as rare. I hope the next one you go to is such a pearl.sapphire wrote:Rather than a bag of yeyo, I prefer a gin & tonic, lots of ice (Solid H2O).
Pythos: you're right, we're massively off topic. How do you feel about gin and tonic?

Cheers, and stay cool, you guys...

Re: San Francisco Pride 2009
Well Sapphire's SO Carl is going to have to right this ship (Off Track) and since I
am now on my second double gin & tonic what were we off track - on topic about
in the first place?
Something about priding ourselves with skirts in SFO. Well they can do that.
It is sort of expected that they would. They do not need a Mardi Gras to have
a celebration of unbifurcated clothing.
But then in respect the gay culture is not about crossdressing or wearing skirts.
It is more so a meaningful relationship with a person of the same sex even if
one or both of the individuals want to wear clothing somewhat out of the norm.
A big deal blown out of proportion.
Who dictates these archaic rules that we are supposed to live by?
And by what authority do they have the right to do that dictation?
It is too bad the Boston Tea Party was not held in the Bay to defend the
sexual rights of others rather than the human rights - OR wait they are
the SAME THING!!!!!
Are we there yet?
Are we back on track?

*burp*. *sets tub like beer mug down*
Well er...yes! yes! Quite agreed *mph*
The whole "if you're a gay guy wanting to get married...marry a woman" argument...is about as silly as me trying to type a coherent sentence following the consumption of three large guinesses *hic*, just not a very smart thing.
It makes about as much sense as *belch*, saying to a man "only women can wear that". It makes no sense at all. About as much sense as my continuing to consume large....quantities of this dark frothy liquid of which there is no equal. This large brown liquid that brings out the silly brit, or Angry Scotts in me.
Right, so...Pip pip cheerio.
*fall over backwards with a thud*

Maybe so, but I think the engineer jumped off the engine during
the first curve, on the bridge over the river. Now the train is
running full tilt, with no one at the throttle
