A source of inspiration

Post by Pythos »

Though he has been around for a long while, this guy I just recently discovered, and fell in love with his music I think is a terrific example of how to live life.

His name is Mana, or more properly Mana-sama. The sama is a title equivalent to lord.

He is a musician in Japan. He is the head of a heavy metal, gothic band named Moi dix mois, the founder and proprietor of a fashion line, was the one who started the Elegant gothic aristocrat style, and on top of all that is a composer, and head of a record label.

He is a "dark" person though, alot of vampiresque imagery.

The thing about him, even before his fame, he wore skirts, as a guy. If you look him up, there are many examples of him looking dead on like a woman, but you will also notice the complete lack of fake breasts or accentuated hips. He sees no reason men should be limited in what they can wear, and finds women's clothing is nicer. He thinks very much like myself, and I am sure many others here.

He has many, many fan girls, and has really changed the Japanese visual kie movement. Only wish it would come over here.

Warning; he can be shocking for people not used to Gothic images (which I am ;).

He is a fascinating individual for certain. Proof that oddballs can make it:)

I love his later style.

His earlier costumes were neat, but too feminine for most (not me though, if I could pull that off, grin).

But his style with Mdm is just fun creepy and would be fun to go clubbing in a variation of.

I like his style as well. I think part of what makes the earlier look, look more feminine, has to do with the tops and the hairstyle. With a more male top, and maybe a normal ponytail (with whatever tie he preferred to use), it probably could've been rather middle-of-the-road. That's just my opinion...
