Anybody understand the measurements for this one?

By the way http://www.mranubis.co.uk/ have hakamas, 'Stealth kilts' and several other skirts including other interesting garments. Once my finances have recovered from Midas skirt buying I intend to go for a stealth kilt and also a hakama, I think they both look smart.

What is the difference between twill, cotton/polyester twill, 100% cotton twill and linen? I mean how do they feel/behave/last comparatively?

Thanks for the links folks,
There are some stylish kilts and skirts on the Mr. Anubis site, I particularly like his denim and camo skirts with the V-back for agility. I feel I should encourage makers of skirts like this by placing an order but it is not encouraging to note that the homepage says the business is closed until 1st January 2009. Has anyone here bought anything from him?

I am concerned about the statement about being closed until January, however, at least they are updating their site, it has been updated over the last two or three weeks so they haven't dissappeared yet, Watch that space!

I wonder, what kind of Hakama is it? There were two types....the "horse-riding", which is essentially just very lose trousers...kind of like the "culottes" but they look cooler, and this is what samurai wore....and the undivided type, which is more ceremonial in nature (and there's an extreme version of it, that's intentionally difficult to walk in, worn by officials close to the emperor, so that they couldn't just rush up to him to assassinate him).

Those are pretty cool, but there is a substantial size differential between the average Japanese man and yours truly. Does the size range include SUMO? :)

It would, actually. Professional sumo wrestlers have their entire lives mapped out, even when outside the ring, and part of it entails wearing traditional Japanese clothing. At the higher ranks, hakama are allowed (the lowest ranks of Sumo only allow wearing of yukata or "summer kimonos") So there are hakama in that size.

Well there we go then. I'll look more closely into that style. I'm not actually Sumo size yet but considering making it my next career, though I don't care for the diaper-like things they wear. We've got some big ol' farm boys down here in Dixie who would pull that thing right off you to start with and tell you if that's all you're gonna wear you might as well wrassle nekkid.

Yeh. it's a bit worrying about MrAnubis, pity, I like a lot of their stuff and want two or three of their products.

Looks like another maker of men's skirts closed down
http://www.mranubis.co.uk/
Says closed at top of page and when you scroll down there is a message that says they have regretably closed their retail business but will continue to make interesting garments for private clients. I never did get an answer from them when I e-mailed them about their kilts.
