Is It Me?
Re: Is It Me?
Frankly skirt chaser I love the idea of women looking and admiring (not staring) at my legs when skirted or in leggings. I think it is because for far too long men have been told that showing your legs off is for women only, and women have been told only men a visually stimulated. Well how can women be visually stimulated when the men they are looking at are covered up in drab baggy suits, or jeans, or other male clothing.
I sooooo wish there were more women out there that will honestly state that they like to look at men's physiques, and skirts are one great way for it to be done.
Also, thank you for not wolf whistling, or other such rude so called complimentary actions. The guys at my work do that and it just embarrasses me when they do, cause the girls they do it to look absolutely mortified..

Re: Is It Me?
I suspect it also depends upon the woman. The phrase "women do look" has cropped up in my reading more than once, so I suspect that at least some women are as "interested" in looking at men's bodies (even men they don't know) as many men are in looking at women's bodies.Skirt Chaser wrote:...Perhaps women (massively generalizing from my own experience so can be way off here) when emotionally invested in the man become more visually attuned....
Also, I gather that quite a few women have repeatedly had unpleasant and/or frightening encounters with men, to the point that when they see a man they are more likely to think about the threat that he poses to them than what they might enjoy doing with his body, at least until they convince themselves that he can be trusted. I can imagine that this would take a lot of the fun out of ogling the bodies of men you meet on the street.
I'd be happy with staring, too, if it's friendly. (Especially from SkirtChaserPythos wrote:Frankly skirt chaser I love the idea of women looking and admiring (not staring) at my legs when [I'm] skirted

Re: Is It Me?
Staring is something people do to inhuman objects. It is signified by a continuous glare, and is a process of "sizing" something up for the purpose of attack or flee. Being stared at is not a pleasant thing, unfortunately it is a fine line between being stared at and having someone pleasantly look at you.
A lot of men glare at women they see, their eyes lock onto certain parts of the body and the look on their face goes from a pleasant look to an almost predatory image. I have seen this on one of my co workers when he was gazing at a female that entered the restaurant we were at. When he first sighted her he said "whoa hoa" with a grin on his face. I looked and saw a very nice looking Asian female I looked for about a second, but my co worker was still watching her for the next two, and his look terrified me (I contained my reaction, and just observed). If I were to see someone looking at me with that face, I would get very nervous. The girl however did see his face, and promptly left the place.
There are times I think the guys I work with think that when women dress in the morning they dress to solely attract men like them. The wearing of shorts is to stimulate their man organs. Wearing slighly low cut shirts is to make them horny. Have any of these jerks thought that maybe the reason they are wearing such clothes on a hot day is to keep cool. My understanding about the "fun bags" is that they are not in any sense cool in temperature and wearing an open shirt keeps them cool, perhaps I am wrong. I do know that the behavior of the average male is very unsettling to me, and if a female were to behave like that I would find it equally disturbing.

Backwards in the sense that you have a tie on the other side of your neck. Most men wear theirs in front, if they wear a tie at all. Must say, having the tie around your hair rather than your neck must be an improvement in comfort!crfriend wrote:The gadget [0] in question is asymmetrical; it can either point "upwards" or "downwards" depending on how it's fastened. Fastened "right-handed", it "points" downwards; if "left-handed" it swoops upwards. Sapphire is a strong "righty"; I'm ambi. Sapphire wears it "up; I wear it "down". Does that still mean I wear it backwards?
Oh that's awful, especially if the target doesn't know who in your group did that. In a similar way I shudder whenever a cousin in his seventies calls a waitress "honey". I bet the look on your face lets the women know you don't think about them like your co-workers do.Pythos wrote:Also, thank you for not wolf whistling, or other such rude so called complimentary actions. A complimentary gaze, yes. But unlike staring, which doesn't acknowledge the person, I'd be adding an enthusiastic compliment on your colorful style and wanting to have a conversation with you.AMM wrote:I'd be happy with staring, too, if it's friendly. (Especially from SkirtChaser)

Re: Is It Me?
I shave my legs all summer long. They look better in a skirt when shaved. I have been told that by several women. "I have the legs to wear a skirt" is what I have been told. I pressed one woman as to the meaning of that particular statement. She replied, " you have no varicose veins or scars/marks on your legs, so your legs look good in a skirt."
SOme women have commented that I look better in a skirt than they do!

Re: Is It Me?
Same here as my legs are really athletic and quite large. I've heard from several women that when they saw me or see me in a skirt, they get jealous because I look better in them than they do.
I would imagine that a wolf whistle would be a bit fun for the first 1 or 2 times you hear or experience it directed at you, but after that it probably gets very annoying.
