Beards
What a lot of bearded skirtmen! No makeup, no jewellery, no salon haircuts, no facials. So many pleasures to miss! Makes me feel a bit of a metro fop which I suppose I am. The funny thing is, when I actually buy makeup I never where a skirt or kilt since that would give the shop assistants too much of a laugh at this point in history.

Two things...
I just got my ears pierced this past January. Both at the same time.
I went to a real body piercing shop instead of the mall.
They sure use BIG NEEDLES THERE!

Secondly,
I also pick my times and places to wear or not wear skirts in order to preserve the dignity and de rigueure of the MEN WHO WEAR SKIRTS AND KILTS!
So you see, you're not so much of a 'metro fop'.

:rotfl: :rotfl: That's me! Actually going on about 20 years since I last shaved it. Although my hair is only half as long as crfriend's I am occassionally mistaken for a female and it is funny to see people do a doubletake and try to recover their faux paux. My wife swears that if I shave it off, she'll divorce me. That and infiedelity have been the only ultimatums she has given me.Milfmog wrote:I shaved mine off after about 15 years. Some jewellery (see my jewellery thread). I get an ordinary haircut on the "men's" side of my local salon. None of those other things.skirttron wrote:No makeup, no jewellery, no salon haircuts, no facials.

I had a full-set beard about 20 years ago for a couple of months just to see what it would be like. I found I was constantly 'playing' with it and found it to be irritating. Now, always shave first thing every morning -don't even like a stubble as worn by many these days (ughh?).

Need a trim
I've still got my (unruly) beard, but I really need to get it trimmed. I'm growing weary of the Osama bin Laden jokes....

Re: Beards
I've worn a full beard since I was 20 years old. (I'm 57 now). I started skirting just about ten years ago. In my opinion, the masculinity of facial hair seems to offset the femine look of the skirt. The hairy legs help too.
Re: Beards
I've had beard more than not, but it's starting to get quite large patches of grey so I shaved it off the other day. People now think I am ten years younger but I'm not sure if I like that. Maybe I'll grow it again - hopefully it will be uniform grey soon.

Re: Beards
I've been skirting outdoors for over 35 yrs. , but having mustache/beard for the past 15 yrs. about ...
The thing is , I got tired of having to shave at least every 2 days ...
I keep my hair long & my beard short !!!
There is no compromise about my masculinity ,
And I always wear men's shoes , I do not tolerate heels ...

Re: Beards
I've had a mustache for oh, about 40 years, and a full beard for about 18. I don't think I'd recognize myself without the facial hair! And it is quite grizzled, kind of fits in with the real grizzlies we have around here! And no one can accuse me of trying to look like a woman while skirted. All they have to do is look at the full face of hair and that argument goes out the window!

Re: Beards
Bearded since 1980, way before my interest in skirts. My hair and beard are quite gray, my moustache still mostly dark for some reason. If I stopped trimming the beard and getting haircuts I'd look like Santa.

Re: Beards
Clean shaven, always. I was in the military (Navy) for twenty years, so I'm used to not having facial hair. Besides, I look younger than my age (49 and counting) when I'm clean shaven. Oh, yeah, for whatever it's worth, my legs are hairless too, but naturally, never shaved them in my life.
I don't want to LOOK like a woman, I just want to DRESS like a woman.

Re: Beards
it didnt matter with or without beard so it up to you to shave it or not - like you shave legs to make nice smooth like I used Braun 7681 shaver that seem good one to shave legs so for beards it either with or without.... I used beard with nice trimmings not too much beards like hedgehog just wee bits like look nicely...
