I must mark this down on my calendar!
Congratulations on your first time out skirted. Was it just your wife's reluctance that prevented it previously or were there other considerations?

To stay on topic I will now have to admit that I'm in a double pocketed blue button front shirt, tan chinos and black suede shoes. I've just got back to our Spanish office after a customer visit and will be swapping the chinos for my similarly coloured UK before I leave to fly home.

Have fun,

Ian.

Light blue t-shirt with a Volvo car club logo in the upper left chest area, as well as on the rear, navy blue mini (will be changing into a denim skirt), pair of brown-red-yellow-green stripe kneesocks. Will be adding athletic shoes, since I'll be doing some stuff to the car today...

I have just been out sitting on my patio reading with a coffee in hand before I get down to some work in my office. I am wearing my new long dark blue linen skirt from Longtall Sally with a lighter blue ctoon top by Maine. I nearly forgot, flip flops on my feet. All realy comfortable and cool.

A vacation-day morning

Post by crfriend »

Here it is at 08:24 Eastern Daylight Time on a vacation day; it's in the low 70s (F) and I'm idling about in a white dress shirt, navy blue cotton calf-length skirt, white "shorty-socks" and a ratty pair of old loafers. I'll be headed out in a bit to run some errands and pick up some stuff I'll need for this afternoon, and then it's into Boston to go sailing!

I probably won't wear the skirt whilst sailing, but may take it with me just in case.

Faded blue pocket T-shirt, white sox, brown loafers and a skirt I made last year that's ankle length shaped like a real "tube" sarong, same circumference at the waist and the hem, deep blue in color, brightly colored saltwater tropical fishes from all over the world swimming all over it. One of my favorite cotton skirts. It has wide belt loops and I use a two and a half inch wide leather belt with it. A fun ensemble indeed. :thewave: :thewave:

Right now, I am going for simplicity. I am wearing my blue cotton lounge dress that arrived yesterday from Woman Within.

Pacific Blue Lounge Dress

With the hot summer temperatures around 90F/33C, I wanted something cool to wear around the house yet be modest enough to wear outside in my yard. My nightgowns were not up to that task. So I ordered 2 100% cotton dresses from Woman Within. This dress is perfect for just relaxing around the house, going sitting on the patio drinking coffee, going to hang clothes outside on the clothesline, etc. It is not something to wear out to a movie or even a walk in the park. At most, I would wear it in the car to go through Burger King's drive-through. My other cotton dress, a nice sleeveless dress, is great for lounging, wear to a picnic, going for a walk in the park, and most other functions up to semi-formal.

I have photos of myself wearing my new dresses, but they are on my faster PC upstairs. And I am too lazy to go upstairs! Maybe tomorrow. Besides, I want to get a photo of me wearing my yellow sleeveless dress outdoors in a park setting.

I was wearing a just above the knee jean skirt, suntan leggs hose, and a cleveland browns t-shirt. I went outside to check my pool cemhicals and than had to change becuase I have some stuff to do at the FD today, and my oldest daughter has a friend over who has never seen me in a skirt. I just don't think it's quite the time to say anything about that yet even though my oldest is cool with it.

Another skirt I made from the same material as my tube skirt mentioned in my last post in this thread, this one is A-line, just below the knee length with all the same saltwater tropical fish swimming in the ocean blue background cotton cloth. I really like these 2 skirts made from this material I bought on eBay for $6.00 total for 8 yards. A great buy. Dark blue pocket T-shirt, blue sox and brown loafers. :thewave:
