667th topic

Post by Milfmog »

Just thought I should start a new subject to get away from having 666 topics on this forum...

...which reminds me of one of my favourite T shirt slogans, it read

667, the neighbour of the beast

Well, it made me chuckle.

Have fun,

Ian.

Phew! It's good to know we have an ever-vigilant membership, watching out for these pitfalls. And who knows what could have happened in my inattentiveness, with 6** messages left on this board for far too long. Oh, I can't even bring myself to type the dreaded number! :ban:

Don't worry! It's too late anyway! Where the idea that the number "x6x" (I'd better not mention it, as some may get upset!) is the 'number of the devil' comes from, I'm not sure. As a Wiccan, however, I can assure you that the "Evil number" is, in fact, "x1x", i.e., it falls between 615 and 617!

However, in (British) military circles, the 'other' number has indeed proven 'unlucky', to the extent that all aircraft carrying it as part of their serial (those that haven't already met a 'misadventure'!), have been removed from service.

666

616

There. I've upset everyone now.

Hold on - I forgot the Chinese. 4 4 4 4!!

In the UK, the A666 runs through Bolton. Should residents of that town be concerned?

1 0 - that will upset fans of the German football team...

(I'm being naughty  )

And the A6, err, 1, 6 (urrk!) runs straight across the East Midlands! It has already 'absorbed' part of the old A1, and by doing so, crept over the River Trent right alongside the spot where the Scots mounted their unsuccessful siege of Newark.

(There! That's got "Kilts" back into the thread!) :) :D

And don't forget, the A6, err, 1, 6, finishes up in - DERBYSHIRE!

Where I used to work, I would stare out the window at 666 Fifth Ave: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/666_Fifth_Avenue. Back then, it had a big "666" on the top, where it now says "Citi." Every day, I would look out and see "666." Its lobby is also full of 666's. ;-)

I guess that explains it then...

"Explains what?" I hear you ask. Bolton; if the world had piles that's where they'd apply the ointment.

Stockport? No, I can't say I have, but if we're trying to out trump each other I did live in Slough for a few years; think of it as London's colostomy bag :D

Have fun,

Ian.

PS I expected this to be a one post thread...

PPS Perhaps it should have stopped after Merlins' post

I know where 666 really should be as an address. I have a friend in Key West named Mark Satan..Should be at his house. He has pictures of himself suitably dressed and going out for Halloween all his young life. He now has his two sons, (the antichrists?) dressed in red with horns on Halloween while he watches from the street. The only problem is, when they get to a door and holler Trick or Treat...and the owner comes to the door and asks them who they are, one responds that he's "Satan" and the other says he's "Satan Too"...and they both point out at DAD and say, but HE's the REAL SATAN..What a life. :hide:

Too funny!

WHen the Reagans were leaving the White House, they picked out a house, and, after having a problem corrected, eventually moved into it. The problem with the house was its street number. You guessed it! 666. The Reagans had the Post Office change the street number and the Reagans took possession (or were possessed?)
