I like skirts in this style. I love how some women look in them.

However, I find I don't like how they look on me. They make me look like a fire hydrant.

All the "Indian" skirts I have bought are in the back of my closet, waiting for me to find a good home for them.

I especially like the multicolored ones, for example item# lngskt02050811

Unfortunately the 40" length may be too long for me and taking up a
skirt made of really thin fabric can be a tricky process.

If you notice the seam between the top panel and the middle panel
(both blue panels) you can 'lower' the waist to that 1st seam. Take
out the elastic from the existing waist. Trim at the 'seam', fold over the
original elastic and sew up the 'new waist'. Thus you will shorten the
skirt and maintain the original color scheme. I've done this before and
it works quite well. The shortening of the skirt is not noticable because
you've eliminated part of the 'top' color. Now each 'color band' is the
same width.

Just a thought.......

Nice plug. {ducks and covers}

An approach you might think of in this case would be to do the work up at the waist. That would have the effect of making the waist larger, but it looks like those skirts have a lot of give anyway.

Very attractive skirts, they are very colourful, ful of emotion, long and flowing, a very strong statement as to look I am a colourful person.

Theu are skirts to be happy in. As contrary to the bland skirts ( of choice ) as Denim etc, they are skirts as to be worn as a skirt garment, but further say 'just a thing to be worn " There is not much expression going on there. Whereas the indian skirts are just fabulous, even for men. As  although little known, even men can be colourful bright uplifted people, just the same as the women who wear those skirts probably are.

I am also the shape of the skirts assures very comfortable wearing.

They would be for me if I would see them here.
A man is the same man in a pair of pants or a skirt. It is only the way people look at him that makes the difference.

I think they're beautiful. They're all right so long as they're not too see-through or so floaty that they reveal too much leg.

I also like the sort of Indian-print skirt like this one They are wrap-around skirts, so one size fits all.
fka Richard II. The one in the long skirt.
